Just before Groggle's fight against the group of three consisting of Zoggnash, Krakkjaw, and Grimzag...
"What's going on, Snikkle? Are you trying to back out of our deal?"
The one currently addressing the guardian at the village entrance was Throk, the hobgoblin with whom he had made an agreement.
The deal was for Snikkle to let him win the battle royale while protecting him from other participants if necessary, so that in the next tournament, Throk would have a free pass to the final event.
They intended to repeat this arrangement in each tournament so that Throk's team members would become Goblin champions one by one.
Unfortunately, Groggle's current actions suggested that he wanted the champion title for himself. He, who was supposed to be under Snikkle's command, had become a major problem in realizing their plan.
"I don't know either. He wasn't as strong just a few days ago."
One day, I discovered that what I truly loved doing in life was reading novels, discovering new works, imagining new concepts to make a character I loved stronger, and, why not, creating my own character in a work and evolving them in my imagination. I would sometimes spend hours doing this without realizing it, with a smile on my face.
Unfortunately, as time passes, we grow older, and with that comes responsibilities. Especially being African, where society always frowns upon someone who, at a certain age, still maintains a passion they developed since adolescence. I can still hear them saying to me: "It's time for you to grow up, Alban."
So, I recently found myself having to choose between my passion for reading and my ever-burgeoning imagination, and my need to create a monthly income, even if it meant having to abandon my passion.
I ultimately decided to combine the two by creating my own original work: "The War of the Primals". It's still in its early stages, and I promise to do my best not to disappoint you.
So, even if it's a bit selfish of me, I would really appreciate it if you could help me get it known. A comment to let me know if you enjoy it would help me a lot, you have no idea.
As improving is also at the heart of my goals, I would also be delighted to read your constructive criticism.
Thank you very much, dear reader.
