Adall often heard his ancestor Orion say:
"Sometimes, our worst enemies are those standing right beside us, smiling and ready to stab us in the back at any moment."
He could now affirm that he fully understood these words as he currently walked alongside Snikkle to the location of the day's event.
Even though there was still some way to go, the two could already hear the sounds of the eager spectators, craving blood and death.
"They're that excited?" He uttered these words aloud, not realizing his own astonishment.
However, he quickly received a response, which promptly snapped him out of his state of wonder.
"It's true, they're more excited than usual. We must ensure not to disappoint them."
"Yes, you're right."
After this brief discussion, the two companions continued their journey in silence and arrived a few minutes later at their destination: a very spacious room situated deep within the cave where they lived.
One day, I discovered that what I truly loved doing in life was reading novels, discovering new works, imagining new concepts to make a character I loved stronger, and, why not, creating my own character in a work and evolving them in my imagination. I would sometimes spend hours doing this without realizing it, with a smile on my face.
Unfortunately, as time passes, we grow older, and with that comes responsibilities. Especially being African, where society always frowns upon someone who, at a certain age, still maintains a passion they developed since adolescence. I can still hear them saying to me: "It's time for you to grow up, Alban."
So, I recently found myself having to choose between my passion for reading and my ever-burgeoning imagination, and my need to create a monthly income, even if it meant having to abandon my passion.
I ultimately decided to combine the two by creating my own original work: "The War of the Primals". It's still in its early stages, and I promise to do my best not to disappoint you.
So, even if it's a bit selfish of me, I would really appreciate it if you could help me get it known. A comment to let me know if you enjoy it would help me a lot, you have no idea.
As improving is also at the heart of my goals, I would also be delighted to read your constructive criticism.
Thank you very much, dear reader.
