Komer found himself still filled with longing for Tracy, a feeling that was even more intense than before they had spoken. This was now purely a physical attraction and desire. Tracy's skillful teasing and hints had inflamed Komer's passion several times. The memory of her delicate body, as tender as porcelain, and her soul-stirring, sensuous moans echoed in Komer's mind, making the thought of having her submit beneath him once again an irresistible desire.

However, Tracy's timely words had managed to quell the burgeoning lust within Komer. He was not opposed to this tradeoff that was almost nakedly political and carnal, but now was not the time. Vero, with her keen intuition, was already showing concern about his relationship with Tracy—a good sign that Komer did not wish to turn sour.
