Darla wondered why Theodore was asking her these questions.
"My mother died when I was young. She died of a sudden illness." she answered Theodore.
"Did you see her die or see her sick?" Theodore asked her.
"No, like I said I was very young and Father told me that she died of a sudden illness."
"so you never saw her sick or die. There is a probability that she might be alive" Theodore mused.
"You think father might have lied to me?" Darla asked.
"yes mother. I want you to do something for me"
"What is it?"
"I want you to play nice with the king. Agree to everything he says. Get his trust and then ask him about the issue"
Darla though about Theodore's request. This was going to be very hard to accomplish. How could she play nice with her father. She had forgotten the last time they had an amiable conversation.
"This is going to be very hard to accomplish Theodore but I will try a little" she assured him.
