After the appearance of the ancient vampire Lord at the ball dance, everything was going peacefully among all the species. Jenkin would bring me updates about my father.

"I can not put my faith in the new vampire Lord, Alessandra," Xavier said, checking the reports on his desk. It was my first time in the imperial chamber.

"He is not new. He's ancient," I corrected him, staring at him flatly.

"If it was not Lord Alexander, then it's unmistakable that Lord Cardis was behind the attacks on the omega territories. Or perhaps someone associated with him," Xavier said calmly.

My eyes widened at his words. "Were you suspecting my father?" I asked. Xavier was taken aback by my question.

"I was not suspecting Lord Alexander, My Lady. However, there was evidence of vampire attacks on wolf territories. I can not overlook them," Xavier said.

"It could be the rogues," I said determinedly.
