Chapitre 51: Recollection

Ivan's steps came to a halt as Berg's earlier words suddenly flooded his memory.

'You will never know love, you will never know peace. This burden you will bear till the end of your days.'

'You will have no place to call your home. You will wander the lands with no destination. forever alone.'

A complicated expression appeared on Ivan's face as he remembered Berg's curse. His body trembled slightly at the memory as a choking feeling came over him.

"It's not like that master, I didn't kill Dela." Ivan said to practically no one as he stared silently at the ground with a complicated expression.

As the memory played in Ivan's head, he considered Berg's possible reaction If he were to see him now. Since he still thought it was Ivan that killed Dela, most likely he will receive a hostile response from him.
