...
The day had finally come, the day Ivery and Luther had been waiting for, for years.
Ivery finally wore her beautiful wedding dress that took weeks to be made. She had to be put in it in a larger room due to its massive size.
She never once thought the day she'd ever be getting married would come. She never thought she'd find love anywhere with anyone, if her family and adoptive family couldn't even love her, how could she have expected an unrelated stranger to?
But it was completely unthinkable for her to find love and get married to a prince in another world.
She had her hair and makeup done before she was put in the dress. Her hair was slightly curled and several magically preserved flowers were added into her hair to match the patterns on her dress. Each flower in her hair slightly glowed from the magic emitting from them.
She wore pure silver jewelry that had white diamonds all around it, which were a necklace, two bracelets and a tiara.
The final piece was her veil that would attach to the tiara they placed on her head.
The maids handed Ivery a bouquet of pink and white flowers. And she was then finally ready.
Ivery was led to the grand hall of the church and waited for them to open the doors that led to the altar.
Ivery took a deep breath and couldn't believe this was happening.
After five minutes of waiting, the doors finally opened.
The enormous room was filled with royals and nobles from all over the world, people she had seen before were there and people she had never seen before were there.
Everyone stared at Ivery in awe, there was not a single woman there that didn't admire and envy Ivery's outstanding dress.
Ivery looked straight ahead and began to walk to the love of her life.
She wanted to run to him once she saw him, but she held back her urges with all of her might.
His attire matched her dress. He wore a fitted white suit with golden lining that fit his body in every right way, he also had on a long single shoulder mantle that matched and completely his elegancy. His long black hair was fully curled and he smiled at her so beautifully.
It had been the first time she had ever seen him in white clothing.
Ivery finally reached the altar and Luther gracefully took her hand and guided her up the stairs and also helped her hold her dress to prevent her from tripping.
"You look so beautiful." Luther told her
"Thank you..." Ivery smiled
"You look handsome as well." Ivery said to him
"I appreciate your compliment my dear." He smiled back at her and kissed the back of her hand
The priest who stood in front of the lectern raised his hand and everyone in the room sat down.
"All here gathered today bear witness to the marriage of crown prince Inanna of the Lilith empire and crown prince Luther of the Fresia empire!" The priest projected his voice
"Today with their union of holy matrimony will they solidify the ties between their two empires and complete their forever binding love."
"Now, do you crown prince Luther of the Fresia empire take crown princess Inanna of the Lilith Empire to be your wife until death do you part?" The priest asked
"I do." Luther nodded with a gleeful smile
"And do you crown princess Inanna of the Lilith empire take crown prince Luther of the Fresia empire to be your husband until death do you part?" The priest asked the same question to Ivery
"I do." Ivery happily nodded and smiled just as gleefully as Luther was
"Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife!" The priest said loudly
Although it wasn't custom in their world, Luther already knew what do to at this very moment.
He lifted up Ivery's veil and felt his heart beating intensely against his chest when he fully saw how astonishingly beautiful she looked, he appreciated how her jewelry complimented her dress and how very little makeup she wore because she didn't need it, he loved her face as it was.
He leaned down and kissed her deeply. Shocking everyone who was there to witness it.
Ivery wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him just as deeply.
Luther lifted her up from the ground and spun them around once. He couldn't control his happiness in this moment.
As they both enjoyed their initial moment as husband and wife, a young man in a butler's attire walked down the long aisle with four rings laid on a small white pillow.
Just when the butler reached the altar where Ivery and Luther stood, he presented them with the rings.
Luther realized the rings had arrived and gently put Ivery back down. He took notice that there were four rings and looked at the butler with confusion.
"Why are there four rings? We only had these two custom made." Luther asked with a lifted eyebrow
"The o-other two are a g-gift from the grandmaster." The butler nervously answered
He shivered with fear under Luther's gaze, he felt like he was being crushed by immense pressure, to the point where it was nearly impossible to breathe. He couldn't believe a person could make one feel like this just by looking at them.
"A gift?" Luther found it odd but shrugged it off
"Before you wear your rings, these binding documents of marriage must be read and signed." The priest told Ivery and Luther
On the altar laid several sheets of papers and ink two pens right next to them.
Ivery and Luther looked through the papers.
Ivery was in shock to see her dowry payment to the Vandells, not that the Vandell family needed it but it was legally enforced for a bride no matter her status to give a dowry to her husbands family, the higher his status was, the more the dowry to be paid was.
100,000,000,000,000 gold was her dowry to the Vandells. An amount like that was nothing to both of their empires, it barely was a drop in a bucket compared to how much her empires treasury held. And she believed that Luther and his father shaved a lot more of her dowry down out of consideration for how beneficial their marriage is and their empires alliances, not mentioning their father's longtime friendship. Marrying into the most powerful empire in the world was not to be cheap in the slightest.
And on the very last paper it was written in bold that their marriage was not able to be annulled unless infidelity of the bride is committed. In other words, they would be unable to legally divorce unless in extreme circumstances where the bride were to go outside of the marriage and choose infidelity.
But the main part of the papers were where she would either fully change her name to Vandell or add Vandell to her name, while also keeping her family name.
Luther told her prior to their ceremony to add his name to hers since their first two children will be taking their respective thrones.
Ivery then signed her original name that she agrees to the statements made on the documents, and then signed her name on the bottom line to change her name to Inanna Sibylla Lestria Argient Castiell Vandell. Luther did the same on his papers, except for signing a name change as his set of papers did not have that line and on his papers was for him to accept her 100,000, 000,000, 000 dowry to his family.
He finished signing his papers and noticed that Ivery tapped him and pointed to a line on her one of her papers.
It was a line for him to sign, it was asking for his permission for her to enter his family and take his family name as his wife, and next to the line he would check one of three boxes, if the bride is to be his main wife or consort, concubine.
Luther sighed wondering why they would give the other two options.
He signed his full name, Luther Armis Lucretia DelCrest Vandell, on the line, giving permission for her to enter his family as his wife and take his family name. Then he checked the box for main wife, denying her to ever be his consort or concubine.
They were finally done signing the papers and after they finished, the priest took them.
Luther then took their matching custom rings that laid on the pillow first and placed Ivery's on her finger. Ivery took his from his hand and placed it on his finger.
Then they both took the rings given to them from the grandmaster off of the pillow.
The butler then stepped back and hurried down the steps.
Luther then placed the plain silver ring on Ivery's finger.
Ivery smiled and suddenly her smile dropped and she felt an intense burning feeling around her finger that the silver ring was placed on.
Ivery ripped the ring off and tossed it.
"What's wrong??" Luther worriedly asked
"The ring...burned me?" Ivery looked at her hand and noticed a red mark left behind by the ring
"What?" Luther grabbed her hand and saw it too
"What's the meaning of this?!" Luther's eyes immediately fell on the grandmaster who stood next to his father
"That ring was specifically made to only take effect on those who have lost their chastity! Crown princess Inanna has deceived you all!" The grandmaster stepped forward and shouted
Everyone gasped and whispered to each other.
Everyone knew what a chastity testing ring was, it was imbued with magic to detect it and burn the finger of the person it was placed upon who had given it up.
Erdel, Julian, and Cassandra were all shocked.
"Is this true?!" Erdel angrily shouted
"I can't believe it." Cassandra refused to believe Inanna would do such a thing when she loved Luther so much
Caribella sighed, already taking a guess as to what happened. She glanced at Erdel, Julian and Cassandra and didn't know how they didn't immediately come to the same conclusion.
Ivery took a deep breath and felt embarrassed to have to do this...but it was necessary.
"It is true and I sincerely apologize for not waiting until my marriage but I did not deceive the Vandell family!" Ivery walked down the steps and kneeled down to Erdel and her parents
Luther also walked down the steps and kneeled down.
"I was the one who did it, I love her too much to have waited until marriage!" Luther loudly confessed
"What!?" The grandmaster was the one in shock now
Everyone in the room all gasped, not expecting those words to come from the infamously sadistic Crown Prince Luther.
Luther summoned and placed his share of the chastity ring set on his finger, he took the ring off and showed the red mark around his finger that matched the one around Ivery's finger.
"So it's like that.." Erdel sighed
"It's quite understandable since they were going to be wedded indefinitely." Caribella said with a chuckle
Julians eyes glowed red and his murderous aura spilled out.
"Calm down Julian, it was going to happen eventually, how else were they going to have heirs?" Cassandra touched Julians shoulder
Julian sighed and had a massive frown.
"This incident shall be overlooked since today is your wedding day and no one's family was wronged with your intimate union." Erdel announced
"Thank you father." Luther lowered his head
"Thank you." Ivery Lowered her head too
"Get up now, let's put this past us and enjoy the rest of this day." Cassandra clapped her hands and said to them, trying to ease the newly grown tension
Ivery and Luther lifted their heads and both stood up straight. They both then glared at the grandmaster.
"I-" The grandmaster started to break into a massive sweat
"You'll be dealt with later, I have more important matters to attend to." Luther sinfully smirked
He turned and quickly lifted Ivery up off of her feet and carried her in his arms and walked down the aisle, heading to the doors.
"What are we going to do with that man? Isn't he the grandmaster of your empire?" Ivery asked Luther, feeling upset that her beautiful ceremony was interrupted in such a way by him
"He is only just a man when in front of my father and I, who do you think made him grandmaster?" Luther would soon handle the grandmaster and his entire family and estate slowly
His power over his own empire and other countries were already massive, now that he had power almost on par with the emperor, he was more of a catastrophe than ever before if you're his target who he can't casually kill.
"He'll regret not minding his business today." Luther's eyes glowed
An unnoticeable trail of black mist flowed from Luther and headed straight to the grandmaster. The mist discreetly entered his nose and ears, and stayed dormant in his body with no immediate affects.
A small black curse mark appeared on the back of the grandmasters neck.
"You reap what you sow, as they say." Ivery smiled as she rested her head on Luther's shoulder
