As the shadows of night fell over Paris, Andrew made a decision that would reshape the course of their entangled lives. The confrontation with Ava had ignited a tempest within him—a storm of emotions he hadn't expected. Though Lucas pleaded to see Ava, Andrew, fueled by a mixture of love and anger, boarded a flight, leaving Paris behind.
For three agonizing days, Lucas refused to eat or speak, his small heart yearning for the woman who had briefly become his source of joy. In his desperation, he threw fits that ended in injuries, each cry a plea for the return of the woman he believed to be his mother.
Andrew, witnessing the toll on his son, felt a relentless ache in his chest. Seeing Lucas in pain awakened a protective instinct within him. Unable to bear his son's suffering any longer, Andrew, fueled by his love for Ava, made a decision that would bring her back into their lives.
"I fucking want that woman here by tomorrow!" he commanded his men, his voice laced with a determination that bordered on obsession. He vowed to make Ava suffer, to inflict on her the pain he had carried for years.
Meanwhile, Ava, seeking solace and distance from the torment she found herself entangled in, decided to take a vacation to Greece. Little did she know that her brief respite would be cut short by the hands of destiny.
Andrew's men, efficient and unyielding, swiftly nabbed Ava against her will. Despite her protests, she found herself forcibly taken to Andrew the next day. Before she could utter a word, Andrew laid down his conditions, a veiled threat hanging over her most cherished possession—her flower shop.
"If you don't agree, I'll demolish and destroy your petty flower shop," he threatened, knowing the significance of the sanctuary she had created. The flower shop had been her anchor, a place that had given her hope in the darkest times.
Reluctantly, Ava signed the contract prepared by Andrew, sealing her fate with a heavy heart. The passing days became a living hell. Andrew, driven by a desire for revenge, did everything in his power to make her suffer. Yet, amidst the torment, Ava never felt hatred toward little Lucas. An unknown affection for the child filled her heart, a genuine motherly instinct that she had unknowingly embraced.
To protect Lucas from the truth, Ava baked treats, took him on walks in the parks, and even attended his school events, playing the role of a mother to ease the teasing from his friends. Each night, she hugged him tightly, offering him the love he craved. Unbeknownst to Ava, her actions spoke louder than words, creating an unspoken bond with the child she had come to care for deeply.
One night, Andrew summoned Ava to his study, a place that had witnessed both tender moments and painful confrontations. Pinning her against the wall, he demanded, "How does that feel, dear?" His eyes bore into hers, a swirl of emotions hidden beneath the surface.
Ava, looking at him with nothing but sadness, remained silent. Andrew, unable to contain his resentment, accused her of betrayal. "Isn't your lover searching for you? Or have you cheated him too?" he sneered, holding her jaw with a grip that spoke of both anger and possession.
"You're right. I ditched him too. He was too boring for me. So what?" Ava replied with a firm yet mocking tone. Deep inside, her heart was tearing apart at the words she spoke. "I played with many men and will continue to. So what? I never loved you and used you for my mom's last wish. So what? You were both just pawns to me, Mr. Stones."
Andrew, with anger boiling within him, gripped and choked Ava. "How dare you talk to me like that?" he seethed. Suddenly, he forcefully kissed her, and Ava, fueled by a surge of defiance, bit his lips, drawing blood.
Their tangled fate unfolded in the dimly lit study, a battleground where love and hatred clashed. The echoes of their shared past reverberated in the tension-filled air. As Andrew grappled with the truth and Ava fought against the chains of her past, the entanglement of their lives reached a breaking point—one that would either lead to redemption or further descent into the shadows.
