Chapitre 6: Chapter 5: The Statue of Osmia
"So, are you guys ready?" Diona's too close smiling face startled me. "Geez, you traveler, you're spacing out again."
"S-sorry," I answered, not really sorry. In fact she disturbed me. I was still reading some information about the Quest.
"Ugh, doesn't matter. Let's go!" she said and started to walk ahead of us.
Wansai and I looked at each other and shared a 'what's wrong with her' look. We then followed her after.
As we climbed some stairs, my map screen suddenly popped out and showed me a nearby Teleport Waypoint. It was not far from us so I made a quick detour and activated it.

Thankfully, Diona was still in her 'let me show you around' explanation and she didn't notice me gone.
"Annnd that building is the Knight of Central's headquarters," she said.
Just like the bridge, the medieval looking mansion was built using bricks. I felt like I was teleported back during the medieval time due to the architecture of this city. I wonder what could be found inside.
"And just a few walk up and we will finally reach the pride and glory of Gain- the Cathedral!" she squeled obviously excited. She took two flight of stairs at a time.
"Hey Diona, be careful or you'll fall!" Wansai reminded her.
"Don't worry, Kitty. I won't because my body and mind know these stairs very well."
When I finally reached the top part of the city, I was mesmerized by what I saw.
Right in the middle of the flat surface of the upper city part was a huge Cathedral built in a Gothic style, reminding me of the Cathedral in Cologne, Germany.
I was awed. Amazement was underestimated to begin with but it was breathtaking! It was huge, probably the largest building that took all the spaces in the upper part of Central. But what caught my attention was the Giant statue standing proudly with its glory. There were two slightly curved corridors on each side of the statue serving as walkways for the citizens.
Taking a closer inspection, the statue wasn't the same as the statue I touched before. The statue standing before me was someone wearing a hooded cloak and as I inspected the face, it was the face of a woman and not a man.
Suddenly my heart started to beat faster than usual and some unknown force forced me to look at the statue. My head started to ache as if someone hammered my head. It was getting painful the longer I looked at the statue. I grabbed my head, hoping to soothe the pain a little but to no avail, it intensified instead.
Then everything around me started to shift and changed. The patrons who were praying before the statue suddenly vanished. And then I started to hear whispers, painful moans and screams. Apparitions of people appeared before me. They're not wearing clothes like the locals but they wear something else.
"Cabhair!
"...ní lagóidh ár creideamh go deo Osmia!
"Go ndéana Dia Anemi gearradh ort, a Dhia Bréaganch!"
I saw an apprarision of a figure wearing the hooded cloak just like the statue. She walked towards the people surrounded by apparition of men holding weapons.
"Ciúnas! Tá do Dhia marbh! Agus ní chloisfear do chuid paidreacha a thuilleadh!" The hooded figure screamed.
"Mallacht ort!" one of the women wearing nun-like clothing spat to the hooded figure.
The hooded cloak figure grabbed the woman's wimple showing it to everyone including me. She forcefully let the woman kneel before us.
"Féach!." The hooded figure made her voice loud and everyone looked at her. I saw a dagger in her free hand and before I could even fathom what she did, she did a quick horizontal slash on the woman's neck. Blood gushed from her neck and everyone who saw this hideous act screamed. "Maraigh iad! Beimid ag úsáid ag corp chun mo dealbh a chruthù. Cuiri i gcuimhne do gach duine a théann i mo choinne gur féidir pionós an bháis a phionósù!.
And then I witnessed the killing of people before the statue. Screamed filled the place and the throbbing in my head felt like my head was about to explode.
Amidst those agonizing screams surrounding me, I heard Wansai's worried voice.
"-ed..Red! Are you okay? What's happening?! Why are you-"
His last voice was the last thing I heard before I slipped into my consciousness.
I woke up feeling like I had a massive hangover.
"Oh my goodness! I got worried yesterday, Red," Wansai hop beside me on the bed. Worries were all over his face. "What happened? You were acting weird when you looked at that statue."
I tried to remember what had happened yesterday but surprisingly I didn't remember much. Even if I tried hard to remember everything I saw, I only got a headache.
"I heard voices and saw apparition of people," I told him. "But I don't understand them."
"I see. I knew you weren't faking it yesterday. Diona and I saw fear was all over your face. But whatever it was, maybe something had happened here. I don't know either. Anyway, here's your soup. Diona visited you early this morning and left this soup for you to eat. She said it has some medicinal ingredients. Eat it so you'll feel better," he said.
I was forced to get up and started to eat.
"Hey Wansai. Do you know why the Statue we saw at the cathedral was different from the statue I touched the first time we started our trip?"
"Well, all I know was that the God in the first statue was the first God of Anemo and he was dead. And the second one you saw in front of the Cathedral was the second and current God. His name is-"
"Osmia." I interrupted Wansai.
"Hey, how do you know about her name? I didn't even tell you about her," he said.
"I heard someone mention her name," I said. "I think there's something wrong about this city," I added.
"Huh? How come? People here seemed happy. Well, except the case of the Evil Dragon," Wansai replied. "But if something is bothering you, why don't we head to the library later today before going to the cathedral?"
"Sure. I wanted to know what happened." I replied. Something in me wanted to know why Osmia wasn't the Goddess I pictured she should be and what is the meaning of her killing a nun?
Suddenly my menu screen appeared before me.

Another screen popped up and I was led to the incomplete quest.

I already activated the first Teleport Waypoint and all I have to do is find the last one.
"Map," I commanded and the map screen popped out to my side. The navigation told me the location of the other one and the arrow was blinking right to the Headquarters of the Knight of Central.
"We should go now," Wansai announced.
"Yep. Let me just wash up and then we'll go."
As Wansai and I navigated our way to the Headquarter of the Knight of Central my map's arrow kept on blinking, indicating that the Teleport Waypoint was somewhere here. When we arrived, I started to look for it. But no matter how I look for it, I couldn't find it.
I once again look at the map and saw the arrow was pointing upward. I considered looking up. I climb up without a gear which was possible for me to do it. Lucky for me, no knight have seen me yet while Wansai was puzzled, maybe he was thinking what the hell am I doing.
I climb and then rest and then repeat the process. I have to do it otherwise I would run our of stamina which I don't want to happen.
When I finallg reached my destination mumbled. Who in their right mind to place Teleport waypoint on the roof of a headquater?
I know thay question was futile because no one will answer. Instead, I heave a sigh before activating the device.

When I was about to turn and try to use the newly unlocked teleport waypoint to teleport me to the teleport waypoint located at the lower part of the Central becuase there's no way in hell that J
I'd be climbing down from here, I felt a heavy feeling of something was watching. I turned around and I saw from where I was standing, I could see the Cathedral and the creey Statue in a full display. Thinking about what I have witnessed yesterday made me feel uneasy.
I decided to turn back to the device and use it to get the hell out of the roof now. But suddenly, something caught my eyes. I was sure it resemble a chest so I walk awsy from the Teleport waypoint and saw it was a chest! And to know more about it, walk closer.

I check for more chest but when didn't find any, I decided to return to the teleport device and channel some Element Magic.
The Teleport Device glow red. Behind it was a portal like door. I was sucked in it and disppear. When I open my eyes, I flound myself standing beside the Teleport Waypoint located at the lower part of the Central.
I ran may back to Wansai after and he was still there waiting for me.
"Where have you been? I have been looking for you. I thought you were still on the roof," he said.
"No. I tried to use the teleport device."
"Did it work?'
"I would be here before you if it was a fluk."
"Ugh whatever. Let's go and asked the guarding knight for instruction."
As we about to ask the knight, we heard a familiar voice.
"Hey! Red! Wansai! What are you two doing here?"
It was Diona.
"Hi, uhm we would like to visit the library," Wansai a answered as she stop walking before us. She looked at me smile.
"I'm glad your okay now, Red. You got me worried yesterday," she said. "I was about to visit because I forgot to give you something," she added.
"Oh? What is it?" I ask.
"It's a retractable wind glider."
"Wind Glider?"
"Yes. A wind glider. We in Central often use it to ride the wind. This will be useful in your adventures."
"Don't you need it?"
"No, I have spare one. I figure it that local adventurer's purchase this. So, I give you my extra."
"Thank you," I said and took the brownish wing-liked glider.
"I bought you here yesterday to give it to you so you can experience it right away but, you feel sick. You even pastout," she said.
"Oh, you're really excited about this glider thing huh?" Wansai said.
"Well of course!" The wind is the heart and soul of Gain! Everyone should try it." Diona answered and looked at me. "How about let's give it a whirl, Red?"
