"Maaaan, we were so close!" Sola groaned.
"Yeah. Their semblances seemed to counter ours in a few ways." Lava commented.
"Hey, don't focus on that right now. Now, we're exploring the festival." Summer tried to change the direction of the conversation.
"Come on, I want something to eat." Topaz commented, his hands behind his head. He turned his head towards BSDN. "Any good places?"
"I heard about a noodle stall that's been pretty good from what I've heard." Kali commented.
"I'm down." Nova told.
"Alright, let's go." Qrow spoke up.
The three teams walked for a few minutes before finding the place.
It was a large open place with about 16 seats open around it. It had a wooden counter with a wooden wall with a kitchen likely behind it.
They each sat down, SNLT and STRQ in the middle and BSDN on the right of the shop.
A man likely in his 50s, brown hair that is turning white and the top of his head turning bald. His eyes looked to be closed, a gray outfit underneath a red apron.
"Welcome to A Simple Wok." He told them before suddenly, they all had menus in front of them.
Everyone blinked, not being able to see him move.
They each picked up a menu.
"I'll take the regular bowl of noodles." Topaz ordered.
The man disappeared before sounds were heard from the kitchen and, in a total of 3 seconds, reappeared and a large bowl of noodles appeared in front of him with a fork and a pair of chopsticks.
'Wow, talk about fast service.' He thought, picking up the fork since he never learned how to use chopsticks.
"3 more bowls of regular noodles." Summer ordered after Qrow and Raven seemed to agree on that.
A few seconds later, they had their large bowls.
"2 bowls with fish." Dawn ordered.
"I'll take the low salt." Willow told.
"And I'll have the Vacuan Noodles." Nova told.
Two bowls of fish and a bowl of noodles that basically looked like normal noodles appeared.
Nova's bowl, however, was a mess.
"It's more red than Summer's tips." Topaz muttered.
Nova's bowl had noodles that were dark red instead of yellow, along with some spices on top of that.
"We'll take 4 regulars." Sola ordered.
4 more bowls appeared before everyone took the needed lien out while adding in good tips for the service.
Everyone ate while talking for the next half hour.
"Well, I've had my fill of fun for the day." Topaz commented, standing up. "I'm going to go back to our room and rest up for tomorrow."
"We'll join you later." Summer informed him.
He nodded before leaving.
------------------
He had just closed their door when his scroll went off.
He took it out of his pocket before opening it.
Summer-"We're heading back. Be there in about 30 minutes."
"Couldn't they have used Raven's Semblance?" Topaz wondered.
His scroll pinged again.
He looked and saw it was from an unknown number.
"Again? That's like the tenth one in a week." He muttered.
He was already about to delete the number and message from his scroll before he noticed the message.
Unknown-"Topaz Titan, if you would read this message bef…"
So, he clicked on the message.
"Topaz Titan, if you would read this message before you would delete it, that would save me some trouble. You don't know my name and I won't be sending it through a message. All you need to know is that you have gained some people's attention."
So, he had to respond.
Topaz-"What kind of attention? And why won't you tell me your name?"
A few seconds passed.
Unknown-"Good, you didn't delete it. As for my name, you aren't the only one who doesn't want certain people to know about you. And attention wise, the kind you don't want."
Topaz frowned. "Kind I don't want?"
Topaz-"Explain."
Unknown-"Did you think you could stay hidden when you fight in a tournament being broadcasted throughout the kingdoms?"
Topaz-"What makes you think I want to be hidden?"
Unknown-"No time. Just know that they have found you. They are interested in one of your teammates as well it seems."
Annoyed at this point, Topaz asked the question he had been wondering since this conversation started.
"Who!? Who is interested in my team!?"
A few minutes pass by.
Unknown-"You already know who."
Topaz froze.
Unknown-"You're lucky however. They don't seem to realize what you are yet. Try to keep it that way."
Topaz couldn't respond before his next message.
Unknown-"No more talk. I already created a risk to continue talking. You likely won't hear from me for a bit."
Frantically, Topaz had to ask once more.
Topaz-"Who are you!"
5 minutes passed with no answer.
Topaz gripped his scroll before letting go, to avoid breaking it.
He gripped his hands instead right after, a small amount of aura appearing between his fingers and palm.
'They are watching us.' He let that information digest before they clenched even harder.
"And right now, the Bloodied Tails are focused on Summer."
