Chapitre 6: Shin's Kindness

"So, do you plan to leave after finishing healing up?" Hina glanced at him and asked while cleaning the table. Her eyes were trying to move away from him while showing a bit of unwillingness.

"No! I plan to train for a month and only then I will challenge the Sacred Ground." Shin shook his head and answered.

"Oh! It seems like you have made a plan. That's good." Hina smiled and breathed a sigh of relief. Her smile bloomed for a moment but soon, she was a bit sad.

Shin smiled for a moment and then spoke in his mind.

'System, with 50 Prestige Points, how much can I improve my Iron Body?'

[The maximum level that Iron Body can be improved is 10. With the current 50 Prestige Point, it can only be upgraded to level 3. Level 2 costs 10 Prestige Points while level 3 costs 20 PP.]

[But level 4 costs 30 PP but if you level up twice, you won't have 30 PS left to upgrade once more. So, currently, you can only upgrade Iron Body to level 3.]

'Is that so? Let's try the effect of Level 3 Iron Body. If it can heal me right now, I can start training.' Shin thought to himself and answered.

Hearing his request, System immediately took out another panel.

Once again, he felt a similar sensation and this time, the sensation lasted much longer. After that, he felt even more at ease. He immediately stood up and started stretching his body.

"Shin, what are you doing? Your wounds haven't healed yet." Hina hurriedly ran in front of him with a worried expression. She didn't expect Shin to suddenly start moving.

"Don't worry, Hina. My body has gotten a lot stronger for some reason. My wounds have already healed. It feels even better than before. For some reason, it seemed like my strength and vitality improved after a battle."

Shin quickly came up with an excuse and immediately replied.

Hearing his excuse, Hina was still worried as she checked his expression and around his bandages. Seeing no trace of blood or discomfort on his face, she was relieved.

Shin simply stretched around for a few minutes and then looked at Hina.

"Thank you for keeping me here! I should leave now."

"Are you leaving already?" There was a trace of annoyance and reluctance in Hina's eyes when she asked. She bit her lips while asking.

Shin nodded his head with a serious expression and said. Although he could feel that she was a bit too much reluctant, he didn't think too much about it.

"I need to leave. But, I will come here often since training will cause me to burn more calories. Although he said that he no longer has any relationship with his father, it might be false. In case of emergency, send the troublemaker to my place or simply send someone to call me."

Hearing his words, Hina hesitated for a moment. She didn't want to make trouble for Shin. As long as they lie properly, nobody would trouble him.

Shin saw her expression and shook his head.

"You must understand that this man has entered the Sacred Ground and came out alive. He should have dealt with people who lie a lot. If you lie in front of him, he might easily discover it."

"So, don't lie to him. Just tell him that I live in the forest. As for my safety, you don't need to worry. I won't die until I accomplish my dream."

When he said that, a bright smile appeared on his face. A ray of sunlight flashed inside the tavern and fell on his face, making him look even brighter.

Hina stood there in a daze for a moment as Shin slowly walked out of the tavern.

[I troubled you so come and find me.]

This was his philosophy. After staying in bed for years, he understood what reason or what position does he have to ask for something from someone.

He was the one who got in an accident. He was the one who should've been careful. Even if they were his parents or family, they don't owe him anything at all.

Of course, in the beginning, he didn't think the same. He used to curse his family for keeping him like that. But later on, he realized this truth. Nobody owes him anything even if they are his parents or lovers.

He must be responsible for what he did. Now that he had come into this world, he planned to follow this philosophy and live his life without any regrets.

If he dies, then he dies.

At this moment, or from a few months ago in his previous life, he no longer feared death.

As he walked out of the tavern, he looked around and saw several people doing their own business.

"Hey Shin, wait!" Suddenly, a voice called him from behind. Shin paused and turned around. He saw an old man holding a stick coming toward him.

Surprisingly, there were several other people behind him. And, all of them were holding bags in their hands.

The man walked in front of him and said.

"Here! Keep this with you."

He passed the bag to Shin which made Shin confused.

The old man slowly smiled and said.

"I know a young man like you wouldn't stay in the village any longer. Although I don't have a lot, it should be enough until you find a way to earn yourself."

When he said that, Shin noticed a lot of notes. These notes looked like the currency of this world. Seeing this, he quickly returned the bag and shook his head.

"I can't take this."

The old man insisted on keeping that bag in Shin's hand as he spoke.

"Shin, as a village chief, I never took care of you because of those threats. You grew up in this village for seventeen years and for these seventeen years, I only visited you when you lived in that Orphanage."

"But, you have always been fighting for our village. Previously, you almost died. I can't say enough thank you. So, please take this! You have protected our village once again."

Shin didn't remember anything but suddenly few people from behind started talking.

"Yes, Shin! Remember when you saved the children of our village from that Tiger? At that time, we wanted to help you but we couldn't do it. So, please take this."

"Shin, you ran to another village for an entire just to get the medicine for my child. Even then, I couldn't do anything to thank you. Please take this."

"Shin, a few years ago, you....."

These people started handing him the bags as a gift. When they gave him the bag, they also told him what he did over the years.

Shin was shocked. He didn't think this man was so kind and helpful to others. At this moment, he couldn't help but feel ashamed for getting reincarnated into this body.

Suddenly, he felt a sting of pain in his mind. This pain wasn't coming from the injuries but rather from his emotions. It was overwhelming. He took a deep breath and thought.

'Shin, since I got your body to live another life, I will definitely live it in both ways. I won't break my philosophy but I will also help others to spread your kindness.'

'I guess the fruit for all that kindness does come even if it comes late.'

Shin smiled and finally shook his head.

"Village Chief, what I did over these years was for your kindness. Even though the orphanage was gone because of me, you still didn't resent me or even chase me out."

"So, please take these back! These might not be a lot but it still comes from your hard work."

Hearing his words, the people in front of him couldn't help but tear up. The Village Chief wiped away his tears and said.

"Boy, thank you for living in this village for seventeen years. You made us realize that there are still good people living in this world. But, please take these with you."

"Yes, as you said, it might not be a lot but when it is called combined, it will help you sustain for a long time. We can't help you much so please don't reject this or else we will resent you."

Shin was extremely embarrassed to accept this but finally, he couldn't bear the resentment of these villagers so he took those.

Just as he took those, he saw the blue panel in front of him. He didn't even notice it till now but it seemed like there were a lot of notifications on that blue screen.
