Jeff could see the uncertainty that hung on her features. He could sense her gaze on him ever since she learned he was the Blaze. Why that should have made him uncomfortable. He was oddly glad that the girl was feeling that way. At least that would keep her and Jima from harm's way. This was his call. This was his destiny and perhaps his death.
