Charlotte handed the tea saucer to Édouard and told Zoe to leave the room. Édouard sipped the tea and put the cup on the saucer.

"I heard you were with Mother," Édouard said.

"Yes," Charlotte answered after taking a sip of tea. "I didn't realize when time passed with Royal Mother," she asserted and again brought the teacup near her mouth.

"In the morning, I was with Damien," Charlotte told him how she tried to find out what Damien's thoughts were. "We talked about his mother, his childhood days," she said.

"It is difficult to handle him," Édouard stated.

Charlotte confusedly glanced at him. "What do you mean?" she took more tea sips.

Édouard placed the saucer on the table and turned to face Charlotte. He narrated to her in brief about his father's and Damien's conversation.

Charlotte was a bit troubled to hear about that. She put the tea saucer on the table along with the cup and held his hands. "So, you think Damien's trust in you will keep faltering," she concluded.
