Laila started telling her story to Dylan:
- I'm an orphan. I spent most of my childhood in the orphanage.
- What did happen to your parents?
- They got killed...
- How awful! How old were you?
- I was the same age as Annie, I guess. I still remember everything that happened to them.
- Did You witness the crime?
- Yes, I did.
Dylan didn't expect such a dark story. He took some moments to gather his thoughts then he asked her again:
- Did the police catch the criminals?
- No, they didn't. The criminals ran away and no one knew their motives.
The pain was clear on Laila's face which made Dylan regretful:
- I'm sorry, it must be such trauma to you. Seeing someone dear to you getting killed in front of your eyes is not something easy to overcome.
Laila smiled to hide her sadness:
- It's okay...I overcame it. I grew up well. I finished my studies and I became a biology professor.
