Scott frowned looking at Nicholas. "What happens to my son if he is born today?"
"I think he'll be fine, but he will likely spend a while in the NICU while he grows a bit."
"How long is a while? Will Ana be alright with the surgery?" Scott asked his emotions, unsure where to settle.
"Maybe a month. Ana's recovery will be slow and painful, but she will be fine. These surgeries are done every day. They are common even though they are serious." Nicholas clasped his brother's shoulder. "They will both be fine."
Nicholas left to speak with the press that had gathered outside the hospital while Scott returned to Ana's room to look at her contraction monitor. So far, they were about ten minutes apart but not every ten minutes. He was hoping they would stop.
There was meant to be three more chapters to this book before Book 3, Althinian Queen begins. However, I am ending the story here. If you are interested in book three please review and let me know. I have the next installment planned out but am reluctant to focus on it if there is very minimal interest.
