Chapitre 118: A day with the new faces

"Baby, you are not allowed to work with your medication ongoing. Plus you can't cook meals for four people all the time. I won't let you, trust me, you will get used to it." Ezra says pleading with his eyes.

Scarlett sighs in defeat, "fine, just do whatever you want."

"I know you are annoyed now but I'm sure you will feel at ease after getting used to it." He says just when his phone rang. "Ah shit! I'm getting late for a meeting."

"Then go do your stuff and come back." Scarlett says, pushing him away. "I'll be waiting for you." She gave him a small smile.

"I'll rush back home I promise." He throws a wink at her then leaves through the door.

Scarlett sat on the bed and tried to take in all the events one by one, letting them sink in her mind. "I'll go crazy now." She fell back on the bed and rubbed her face with her palms in distress.

Scarlett fluttered her eyes open to the door bell ringing. She realised she dozed off without her knowing.
