Chapitre 93: Conspiracy

They knew to everyone that Ferdinand first asked Konstantin to make a report on his work to prepare for the election of the prime minister later. The first proposal was that Ferdinand nominates Konstantin as the Prime Minister.

There is no doubt that Konstantin has done a great service to Bulgaria in the work of the previous interim government. There was no question in the face of real political results, and nobody objected to the nomination, whether willingly or not.

The next vote, too, did not fail to surprise him. Konstantin was elected prime minister of the new Bulgarian government with a superb vote share of sixty-two votes yes, five abstentions, and zero votes against.

He has sworn in at the Capitol soon after and confirmed by Ferdinand on the spot.

Then it was time to consider the "interim legislation" that the interim cabinet had previously made. As a precaution, everyone was prepared, plus Ferdinand was also brought out to vote together in a bundle. It involves huge interest groups.

The general public can not care so much. Since Ferdinand came to power, a large part of the laws issued is inclined to the interests of the general public, and the standard of living of everyone has improved obviously.

The Bulgarian working and peasant classes were now the strongest supporters of Ferdinand's New Deal. Whoever opposed these laws in the eyes of the common people was against them.

Even if the legislators want to oppose, but they should also consider the attitude of the voters outside. They should think about the unlucky few who got removed from office not long ago, and they should not cause trouble in this area.

The freshman legislators are mostly confused about these legal documents. Ferdinand is intertwined with the private matter and is attached to the larger law inside. However, many of the controversial contents were passed without any problems.

As the meeting went on smoothly, Karl, who had been excluded, was now getting anxious. No way, this time the National Assembly is really held in too much harmony.

In the past, the Bulgarian National Assembly did not have a brawl, even if it went well, "argument, argument, argument" was the standard opening of the parliament. Once in a while, the legislators fight each other as a kind of seasoning.

Now what? From the start of the meeting until now, the government has brought up bills that have not been rejected. It's not even a major controversy.

It's not that they don't try. It's just that there's no way to say it! Every time they raised objections, the other legislators quickly jumped out to counter, taking into account the numerical advantage of those on both sides. No matter how many Karl would have said if they could, they ended up being left speechless.

The good thing is that Karl is still smart enough to hold down a radical neo-liberal beside him. Who are you kidding? Even when fighting, you have to consider the value of force! Can't they see that there are only a few of us? And if there is a conflict, it is impossible to do nothing today. Anyway, looking at the current situation, the chances of success are infinitely zero, but it is not worth finding a beating for nothing!

Sitting in a high seat, Ferdinand is watching the life below smartly and smilingly. If not for the sake of the occasion, he really intends to have a pot of tea and slowly get a melon to watch the fun. After seeing several possible conflicts held down, Ferdinand secretly regretted that a good show was missing. Maybe he could also remove a few bastards who did not see good things, by the way.

Yes, he is that devious. The law that they just passed has articles that stipulate the ethics of state public officials. Now, if a legislator dares to start a fight, he can deal with him according to the law. Whether he suspends the rights of his representative or just removes the legislator depends on his mood.

Karl is aware that he cannot wait any longer. It is better to do today's business first, no matter the result. Otherwise, it will not be good to go back!

Ferdinand, who saw the political party legislators being sidelined and was still taking a moment to laugh, did not yet know that a conspiracy was about to unfold against him.

...

Karl again met with trouble. According to the usual practice, he first submitted the previous legislators' proposals to the Speaker, who would then read them out and debate and vote on them. Never mind the number of bills passed at today's meeting, but they were all proposed by Ferdinand or Konstantin on behalf of the government, and so far, there has been nothing proposed by legislators.

So who should I give it to now? Karl has a few headaches. He can't give it to the Speaker of the meeting, and he's not a legislator! The motion is sacred. Not just anyone is entitled to receive. It is logical to give it to the monarch can be, but Karl and a few people do not dare. It is aimed at Ferdinand. If it is handed up to be held down, they can not cry.

A day or two of delay in the motion is the norm. Even if it is dragged on for months is not always the case. The chances of success are infinitely zero, and if they are exposed in advance, even Ferdinand can't be upset.

After the lunchtime session, Karl and a few people secretly once or decided to make trouble. For other reasons, to turn the water into chaos, being excluded for days was really inhuman and too humiliating.

At the beginning of the afternoon session, Ferdinand had not yet come. When Karl took a look, he was relieved that he was not there. He did not care about the rules, Karl at once announced in a high profile: "Gentlemen, Members of the House, please take a few minutes while I have a draft here that needs to be voted on!"

As soon as Karl's words left his mouth, someone else picked up: "Can't you see we're busy? Do you still know the rules, where are your qualities? Don't you know it's rude to interrupt people at work? Now we are discussing national issues, we do not have time to play with you in the game for little children!"

A burst of agreement followed it.

"That's right!"

"There are no rules!"

"What are they up to again?"

...

As he listened to the crowd, Karl looked as usual. Politicians have always been very thick-skinned, and these are child's play. He continued: "The five of us jointly propose that we vote to amend the Constitution and implement a constitutional monarchy!"

The crowd was shocked. It is to be a disaster! Then they relaxed again, whether to change it or not, but required his approval. Why listen to you. At once, someone spoke up: "I oppose! Now Bulgaria is on the right track to tell forward, we can not let some evil-minded villain destroy! You think this is a child's play?"

Someone next to him: "But the constitutional monarchy, indeed in line with the future development of the mainstream! The British relied on the constitutional monarchy to become the world's leader!"

Another person said: "You are stupid! Aren't Germany, Austria-Hungary and Russia all monarchies now? We are doing well, and Bulgaria is doing well. Why should we listen to them? Even if we want to reform, we should be the ones to propose it!"

The man dawned on him, "You mean they have a conspiracy! What kind of conspiracy could it be?"

"What do you care? Those political parties are no good anyway! Whatever they support, we just oppose!" Another person said.
