Chapitre 23: Chapter 22 : Demon Eye War begins.
A full week went only then the 5 absent from Ember, now giving their report, have returned. Just why has it been so long.

"Wake up."
"Now is now the time to be sleeping."
"Wake up."
"Get your revenge."
"Enact it. Spill the blood of everyone and stop caring."
"Wake up!"
"WAKE UP!"
Echoed in his head, ultimately waking up from something impossible. Satoru is indefinitely alive.
His eyes opened and he looked around, noticing he was in the hospital and linked to machines that were trying to pump energy in his blood to restore it.
"The fuck happened..." sitting up now, holding his head.
A nurse walked into the room and told him how he's been in there unconscious for a week and that it's a miracle that he's even alive because of the state he was found in.
She left, telling him that he has a visitor, so he told her to simply let them in.
It's not anyone who he was expecting, so it caught him by surprise.
"Aza? What brings you here?" Satoru said, sitting on the edge of the hospital bed.
"I wanted to see how you were doing, I was worried..." she said, sitting down on a hospital chair in front of him.
"I'm fine. Don't concern yourself with me."
"Your team, mine and two others were on a mission in Cedarfall. It's been taken over entirely by multiple demon eye possessors." Aza told him after a moment of silence.
Satoru's eyes widened as he quickly stood up from the bed, yelping quietly after standing up "Fuck.. I'd expect as much but not that soon.. What is Nobu's end goal, if you know? You also said that there were multiple of them, did they hurt you?"
"I'm doing good thank you for asking. I was healed by a Mage. Nobu's goal however... They're all acting under the orders of the clan leaders if I recall correctly."
Satoru sat back on the bed, seeming to be zoned out not speaking : "Then that means war. War with the demon eye clan and Ember if not all the nations."
Aza nodded and looked at Satoru in silence, not knowing how to respond in any positive way.
"You're right. Are you ready for something like that?" she still asked him
"I am. There's a lot of things I need to do at the moment but I'm still not at a 100%."
She got up from the chair and helped him up, telling him what happened more at the mission and asking how he's actually doing.

"Shit.. I see." responded Ignatius to Karoi, them being the only ones in the room.
"Does that mean-"
"Yes. It's a treason act, so wipe them out. All of the nation leaders agree to this as well so that peace is upheld." stopped and interrupted the leader Karoi, telling him what to do next.
The sensei nodded and left the room immediately, being awaited by Elara outside with whom he walked to the demon eye compound.
"I didn't expect the Midgardians to be this obnoxious." she said.
"They think they're preserving peace by doing this, and they are to an extent. Yet they cannot see the bigger picture." Karoi responded, taking his spear as they approached the entrance to the clan's compound
"Hm.. You do know that I won't participate in this manslaughter, right Karoi?" she told him
"Of course, your privileged Mage ass can sit back and relax." he responded back quickly.
"Well I'd help, if I was paid for that, but I'm not." she replied back slightly smiling, similar to a smirk.
Karoi entered the compound with Elara behind him, both watching the buildings and checking them, no one being there.
They checked everything and saw that the circular blurry thing, the same one that was from Cedarfall, was there and the last member just walking in and it closing.
"They're receiving a Mage's help, how interesting." Elara commented it.
"I wasn't a 100% sure but I figured as much. All of them left here just to continue on this goal of theirs in a safer and unknown place." said Karoi, turning back and heading in the direction out of the compound
"Zeus would say that we should leave them be so they can dwindle down their own path of stupidity, but this here marks something, having Cedarfall and the other points of interest as a beginning." Elara pointed it out, now walking side by side with him.
"Indeed. The beginning of the hopefully short to live war."
She nodded, going on to comment something unrelated.
"In Cedarfall, I've noticed that that girl Aza has the ability of a Mage, just like me."
"I wouldn't know. To be honest, I don't know anything about her." he quickly replied, shrugging it off.
They left the compound and commented her potential and how Elara will offer her a position so that she's trained in the arts of a Mage, while Karoi headed to Ignatius and gave him the report.
He was angry.
No...
Furious.
He contacted the other nation leaders and told them that the demon eyed clan had escaped, with the war to start. Mentioning as well that there's currently 183 possessors alive.
Excluding Kazumi and his uncle, Ishoki's brother Hikaku, who was never enchanted nor interested in the goal of them, hence being rendered good.
The nations were all told to be on high alert and to hunt down the demon eye clan and exterminate every and last one of them, until all 183 corpses are accounted for.
"Primal, I'd like you to prepare your team. I understand that they're children, though this world truly is cruel." said Ignatius to him, going back to speaking with the other leaders to immediately send out everyone to find them and kill them, and stop it before it gets worse.
Karoi left the office once more and spoke with Elara : "The demon eye clan is breaking the prophecy of the Oni Eyes right?"
"Yeah. They were never supposed to be inheritable, so that's already defying the rules of them." she replied back to him quickly.
The two of them headed in the direction of the hospital where Karoi intended to tell Satoru of what's going on, that is if he's awake.
"Their condition is to have them given by prophecy and have your soul become damaged by suffering and feeling pain, if it's already not damned from the start." he said, forming it into a question to which Elara slightly nodded.
"Oh yeah. You remember how I swore and promised to Zeus to never interfere with Satoru?"
"You didn't..."
"He doesn't know, but we are going to him so don't reveal anything to him that Zeus wouldn't like. I can't afford him coming down and killing him."
"Fine. I won't say anything." she said, agreeing to be silent about this.
They entered the hospital and the room where Satoru and he was there, now in his clothes with Aza in the room speaking to him.
"Sorry to barge in like this and I hope you're recovering well, but Satoru, there is something you need to know." Karoi said, seeing Elara and him walk into the hospital room.
"Thanks and what is it?" he asked, leaning against the frame of the open window.
Karoi gazed at him, seeing that his leg isn't doing the best and noticing that he's not at full health just yet.
"Ignatius and the other 4 nations declared war on the demon eyed clan. The clan is in possession and receiving the help of a Mage to top things off." The sensei broke the news to him.
His expression didn't change nor did he flinch, but now he knew for certain and said "The Demon eye war begins.."

L30N Let me know what you think! The original draft of the entire story is very fast paced with both power ups and the story itself, so I'm doing my best to prolong, somewhat slow down the pace and alter it before the inevitable and unchangable main events start to take place :)
