Chapitre 139: The Fall of Shenzhen

In order for this plan of mine to work, it has to be planned and timed perfectly. Mei Gui and I were currently lined up at the back of the extremely long line...it seems many other people had the same idea as me, and as an aside, most of them were couples. I ran some mental calculations in my head to figure out the best time to enter. If necessary, I would let some other people go in front of us so that we can reach the highest possible spot on the Ferris Wheel right as the fireworks begin.

Okay, some some pretty deep stuff happened in this chapter...first off, Xuan Kai's relationship with Mei Gui deepened a lot through this experience, and the two of them are as close as ever.
Next, I wrote a little bit about a short story regarding Xuan Kai's past. The whole fireworks thing...that wasn't something I originally planned, but idk, I was listening to some sad music while writing that section of this chapter, so I guess the mood just kinda hit and I decided to throw in some depressing stuff.
Anyway, I left this chapter on a cliff once more. The climax of this volume is here, my dear readers. Prepare yourself.
