"Caspian, are you ready yet?" I called out as I slipped on my heels, glancing at my reflection one last time in the mirror. My plush pink dress hugged my figure perfectly, cascading down to my ankles with a gentle shimmer under the soft lighting of our room.

"No! I can't find my sparkle shoes!" Caspian's voice was muffled, coming from under his bed.

I chuckled, walking into his room to see his little legs sticking out as he rummaged around. He had already put on the white button-down shirt I bought him, tucked neatly into the matching plush pink trousers. His outfit matched mine, making us look like a coordinated pair for tonight's dinner.

"My shoes from my birthday, Ma. I'm not sure where they at," he continued, his voice slightly frustrated.

"Where they are," I corrected, smiling softly. "And they're in the living room, where you left them last night."
