The lake in front of her looked shallow, yet strangely enough, she couldn't help but fear it. Ava frowned. There was an unexplained emotion inside her as she looked at the clear water not far away from where she was standing.
For some reason, she felt like she had forgotten something— it felt like she had forgotten a very important part of her. What could it be? She wondered.
She looked around and realized that she was alone, she had been alone for as long as she could remember. Yet there was a part of her that felt like she had company just earlier. She chuckled at that thought.
Was her mind playing games on her?
"Hey— "
Ava turned and look at the child.
"Are you calling me?" she asked.
"Do you see anyone else here?"
"Well— " Ava was speechless. She looked around. "No."
"Then I am calling you. Should I just call myself hey?"
