"My lord," the humanoid form appeared behind a tree. Then it knelled towards Matthew yet it didn't dare to show itself.
Matthew didn't answer. Instead, he stared at the stars in the sky as he stood at the edge of a cliff. His hand was folded behind him. From here, Matthew could perfectly see the lake that looked as beautiful as the skies. He just finished sorting out the memories inside his head. And by now, his dislike for this place had doubled.
When he woke up in that bed, his memories had been messy. All he knew was the fact that Eve or Ava was his. But now, everything inside his head had been sorted out.
"It has been a while," Matthew spoke after a few minutes of silence. His eyes never left the skies.
Earth.
Its skies were vast and wide.
Yet, it was small.
Does that make sense?
"How long has it been?" Matthew asked.
"A thousand years my lord."
