"Why not?" Matthew's lips lifted into a sadistic smile that surprised Drigo. He had never heard Matthew say something as callous as this. Despite the smile on Matthew's face, Drigo could sense that he was serious.

"Who cares if they die? Not me."

"Is it because of A— Miss Woods?"

"I don't think that is any of your business. All I want you to do is create some change in this place. And you live."

"We can't just change— "

"A small change is a change." Matthew got up. "You have to start somewhere."

"So you are going to make me face all the backlash while you enjoy your marriage?"

"It's either that… or you die."

"What about my mother? And our siblings?"

"You can do what you want. However… they better not touch my bottom line."

"And that is Miss Woods?"

Matthew only smiled before he started walking away.
