Chapitre 23: Chapter 23: Back Up

Brenna POV

The grip from the large hand tightened around my wrist like a vice.

For a split second, a rage grew in me that nearly bubbled out. My head was fuzzy, but I kept my mouth closed as I took a deep breath through my nose.

When I looked down at the hand though, I realized that it didn’t belong to Kieran. The owner had a white and blue striped long sleeve shirt.

Even while intoxicated, it clicked that Kieran had on black, as usual, when I had just talked to him.

Slowly my eyes crept up the mystery arm to see a very smug-looking Kyle right by my side.

“Let go,” I wasn’t sober enough for a moment like this.

“Of course, whatever the lady wants,” Kyle said with a smirk as he dropped my wrist.

I yanked it back, hoping he would leave already. I had enough problems at the moment, and he was the last person I wanted to deal with right now.

I quickly took the shot and turned the glass upside down when I scooted it to the edge of the counter.
