Synopsis
Thousands of years ago, the First Expungement came. The world changed, and humanity was nearly wiped out. Thankfully, with the paracausal power of Angelicas, humans was able to push back the Ghost tide and rebuild their civilization.
Now, however, it was time for the Second.
Finn Thresher was just a normal university student at first. He, like the rest of the public world, had no idea what was coming for them — but sometimes, just because you don't know, doesn't mean you can't be harmed.
His family... his sight... his purpose. All lost to the paranormal.
It was time to abandon his beliefs. To throw away his morals.
After all... if these creatures weren't human anyway, there was no point in showing them humanity.
In the first battle of this war, the Ghosts won, nearly driving the human race to extinction. In the second, the humans fought back with the power of Angelicas and managed to secure a victory.
Now, the third and final round was approaching — and this time, it's personal.

Écrire un avisFantastic read! I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did, so this is a pleasant surprise and hidden gem for me! Here are my notes (feels like they're kinda short): ~For once, I don't feel the need to ramble about grammar. The only issues I see are some miscellaneous punctuation mistakes (always only with commas--typically their overuse). Sometimes, the dialogue tags are actions that aren't some variation of speaking (like laughing), so a period would be needed instead of a comma. Other times, the dialogue tags are actions like screaming that can be inferred from the dialogue and can instead be replaced by sentences with actions! Most other issues are one-off. ~The style and word choice when you describe things are excellent! The fantasy elements are especially vivid, particularly the chilling images of the Ghosts. ~The concepts are clear and make sense overall (the world, Phantoms, Angelicas, etc), so I didn't find myself having to spend too much time re-reading those bits. Impressive start! ~It seems like this is a rewrite from a system novel based on your notes, and while I can sort of feel some of those elements seeping in with either Reaper or Zelestria, they're very much palatable as someone who doesn't quite get/like systems. ~I like how realistic it is that Finn... fails pretty badly with his powers the first time he uses them and that his resolve doesn't necessarily carry him. (Of course, it's fun to see him become much more powerful after that with the cool armor and gauntlets, but it is a good progression.) ~The transition from Chapter 4 to 5 is a tad confusing, mainly because I assumed the aforementioned teen was Finn. I think it would be slightly more clear if a setting in the vein of "Elsewhere in District A" was written instead of "Somewhere in District A". ~Octane is hilarious! He's so funny, and I love his antics! (I'm still laughing about him smashing the wheelchair.) ~If it isn't obvious from my paragraph comments, I also seriously adore Zelestria! (SSS-Tier waifus promise: delivered so far!) ~I was not expecting the twist of Finn being a half-Ghost as a result of his life being saved! I get the feeling this concept will be explored later, so I'm excited to see if that happens! ~In Chapter 9, "however" is used almost every other sentence after Finn walks into Iris' room, which threw me off a little. ~There's some contradictory information about Angelicas between Chapters 10 and 11. The first states that almost everyone has an Angelica, while the second states that they're rarer. ~In this world, do modern countries exist? It seems like there are only districts (as detailed in the auxiliary chapters), so a comment like someone having an accent (specifically, the comment about an "English accent" in Chapter 14) doesn't make sense in that case. ~I love how the dialogue is distinct and clear! I often have issues distinguishing characters or following along, so this is refreshing. ~There are some adverb and verb redundancies (like "directly in the direction" in Chapter 17). -After reading the fight scene in Chapter 19, I really like how you describe fights! If you'd want any advice, I suppose you could try to make them less mechanical at times and imbue them with emotions like, say, Finn's hatred and rage towards the Ghost for taking away his teammates (a possible "found family" of sorts), but that certainly has to be balanced well with actual actions. I honestly don't have many critiques! Virtually nothing stood out to me as awkward or egregious. It's a good balance between humorous and bad*ss. I'll definitely be lurking around more for Finn's adventures... (5/5)
Spoiler de révélationVery cool! A little like a hybrid of Bloodborne and SCP, so if you're into that, I'm sure you'll love this. 10/10 I've already done fanart and will probably do more
I read the previous version of the novel and thought it was great. It's not easy for me to bind myself to a book, but I was fascinated by this story from the start; the characters are well coordinated and the dialogues between them feel lifelike and authentic. The characters themselves also differ from what you see in most books, not for the bad, but for the good, as some characters have disabilities to contend with, thus giving the novel a breath of fresh air. The course of the story is fascinating, combined with good writing quality. I personally recommend the book to readers who like stories about ghosts and how to fight them.
OMG this story I felt like I was reading a tv show or anime haha. Love it! The story and world are so well written. I felt it flowed well. I'm still reading but so far it's great!!
Not my type of story, but I like it. It's not boring and I get the urge to continue. MC is great too, and the descriptions are great. To me, it's worth 5 stars!
very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
This book is basically a must read, the world building is top notch the vivid description of even makes a reader visualize [img=exp][img=recommend]the scene with ease. The characters are developing in a nice rate. The writing style is amicable and the storyline is interesting, I have always been a sucker for such books. I advise readers to give it a try, it's an amazing work.
There r only a couple of chapter but it has already hooked me The grammer is also nice didnt find mistakes The characters till now r full of life n the main character is potrayed pretty well Novel has a tinge of mystery n thrill to it im sure i will love it
You know Author-Sama that I have read your original before so you should have known I was coming to read this lol. I don't know the reason behind you restarting all over again but I'm sure that this is going to be great either way. I'm excited 😁
I did not expect to find a hidden gem like this, the start was fast, no pacing issues. The characters are aĺl interesting and the designs are cool. I especially like finn's inner monologues criticizing ppl's decisions in his head and his interaction with Iris. Their disabled duo relationship have really hooked me into this novel. Looking forward to how things develop between them.
Having read one if the author’s other works, the readers can only expect the best of unique and compelling things. Which this novel conjures in spades. From intriguing backgrounds well described to characters most compelling. Most especially the lead; Ace. A well spun tale, an alluring title.
I've read 10 chapters so far and I'm already hooked. Writing quality is really good. I was able to imagine the scenes vividly. The plot itself induces a lot of possibilities which makes it unpredictable (in a good way). Characters are distinct and I didn't have any trouble figuring who's who during the conversations. The pace is smooth as well. Overall, a highly recommended book!
only chap72 but so far the story is amazing good char development this has no harem hopefully for future it wont bc harem is a big turn off that made me not wanna read certain novels the mc is smart and cold there are barely if any spelling mistakes that i have noticed overall really good novel i recommend u to read this ofc everyone has different tastes so if u dont like this novel after 5-10 chapters drop a review telling the author your opinions/thoughts or why u dont like, author-san please dont drop this early and stay safe :D
Interesting works, I like the details of the characters and setting also the character in your thumbnail looks striking to Joker, I'm new to this site by any chance it's not a fanfic? Also ghost hunters is a fun idea, not to mention they also have guilds, also I'm positive this is a war between the ghost/demons and the hunters, the part where the large demon came out the portal was funny to me because of the reactions of the 5 leaders, the story is also pretty apocalyptic.
Ok, I'm back after reading a few chapters; I really like the story, the writing is good, the grammar is good, the pacing is fine. It's not usually the story I'd go for, but I'm enjoying it.
I am lost for words. The story is really interesting that I couldn’t stop reading it. I like how the author describe everything. It becomes so vivid on my imagination. It’s like I am watching a sci-fi movie. The writing quality is superb. I couldn’t believe that you didn’t have enough reviews. This novel is a top tier novel. I couldn’t even say something bad at it. The story plot is really unique. I like how you go against the perception about ghost. At first I was like ghost? How can they make human instinct? But when I read it I realized how well planned the plot is. Kudos for writer for making a quality story like this.
Hohoho... From the start I knew this was going to be a good novel. What can I say... It is very Subarashiiii hehehe... The dialogues make my blood boil, and I have to say... The ones to speak their words are geniuses to say such wonderful worlds muhahahaha (No, I'm not praising you, author. I'm praising the characters...)

hm... where should i start, so the characters, the worldbuilding is just perfect to my taste. That said, this webnovel gives me real demon slayer vibes. And author, if you're reading this review, give us a few more chapters, I beg you. Pleeeaaaseee
