Lord Meng pulled out another dagger and in one swing of his arm, he sent it flying through the air toward Haru. The blade span like the blades of a blender as it flew towards Haru's face.

Haru had his back against a wall. He didn't know how strong the attack was going to be and was also holding a child in his arms. If he made one wrong move he would not only run the risk of injuring himself, but he would also be putting the girl in danger.

He looked up at the blade that was hurling toward his face. It seemed to slow as he thought about his options, it was almost moving in slow motion at this point but he knew he might not be able to make his body react in time to be able to avoid the dagger all together. At most he could try to sacrifice his arm to catch it, but what if it was followed up with another attack right after?
