Chapitre 13: The Lord of Light

A/N: I'd like to say that this chapter is simply a conversation between the family. Not much happens here.

~~~
1129 AD: 165 Years(17 years.)
I slowly come to, and open my eyes. I'm laying on the ground, and see my Mother, Father and brothers kneeling around me. They look to me as if someone has focused a torch on them. Huh. They also react like someone has focused a torch on their eyes.
Everyone has their eyes covered with their hands, and are peeking from between the fingers.
I slowly look down at my body, and see that I am the torch. I was glowing white-yellow. Sort of like Naruto did after syncing with Kurama. Except there's no cloak. Or maybe an enhanced form of Super Saiyan.
Knowing that this is connected to the Light Dimension, I try and focus on turning my Light off, and instinctively manage it within 5 seconds.
Mother is the first to react as I sit up, and she hugs me. I close my eyes and feel 3 slaps on my back, from Thor, Loki, and Odin, each.
I gently move out of the hug, and search for the man from Midgard. He's standing to the side, waiting for our reunion after... wait how long was I gone?
"How long did I stay asleep?" I ask Mother.
She rubs her hand on my cheek, and I can feel her magic checking my health. She says, "Oh, only 5 minutes. But for the last minute, you were glowing, very much unlike you normally glow when flowing your Divinity, so we were afraid."
"5 minutes?! Only 5 minutes!? It felt like years! Decades! I spent at least a half a century in the Light Realm alone!" I shout, in shock, and a bit of awe. My family all looked shocked at that, but Odin recovers quickly and nods to himself, mumbling how he should have expected something like this.
I bloody time travelled, even if only my soul was the one doing all the travelling. Give me a break. And yes, I count Time Dilation as Time travel.
The man, Master What's-his-name, comes forward, and says, "Traveling through the realms is seldom linear in time. You could have spent Millions of years in one of the realms, and you would not feel it outside, sometimes even inside. Can you tell me which realms you passed through? A simple description is enough."
I look at him, Julius! That's his name! Yes, I look at Julius and answer, "Well, first one was really dark. Everything was a shade of black, purple or red, and a humanoid figure, bigger than Midgard itself was watching me. I exited that one quickly." I chuckled nervously. Dormammu scared me, not gonna lie.
"The Dark Realm." Julius whispered in horror. He widens his eyes, and says, "Which one next?" Surprisingly, Father and Mother are listening intently too, while Loki and Thor simply look fascinated.
I think back on my travels, and answer, "There were lots of realms somehow or the other connected to fire, a few of which resonated with me, and a lot of realms of Light, but none of those exactly clicked for me. One Fire Realmhad a ruler named Balthakk, and yes, he introduced himself. He tried to burn my soul, but thankfully I escaped in time. One realm had a giant, as tall as the Frost Giants, and as wide as my own height, he threw me out right as I entered his realm."
I pause, and say again, "There was Limbo, but I exited as soon as I entered when the ruler, someone named Balesco questioned my presence in Limbo. There was something I instinctively knew as the Light Force, and I felt a small resonance with it, but it was.. not for me."
The Master Julius nodded sagely, and said, "The Light Force, while strongly powered by Light, is not purely Light, and has many weaknesses."
I nod at him and continue, "Well, yes. There were a few that I don't even remember, and a lot that I want to forget. Finally, after about a few decades of travel, and about a million or so realms, I reached the right realm. Now that I'm connected to it, I know it's called the Light Realm, and it's filled completely with Light Energy. My Divine Energy."
"Can you call the energy to you?" Mother asks, and I see that Julius is watching intently, a glowing mandala on his right hand as he points it towards me.
I nod at mother and try and.. pull.. at the Energy. Now that I had been to the Realm of Light, it felt like a switch, to turn my powers on and off. Again, I start glowing like Naruto. I observe everyone with this energy, and see that Julius is glowing to my eyes. Only his colour is orange. Like flames, or sparks.
That energy is flowing through his entire body, but right now it's focused more on his hands and I see the mandala on his hand, spinning. The energy came from his guts, and moved towards his hands, then went back to his brain and guts. He scanned me, I know.
I turn my Light mode off, and on again a few times, getting used to the change in perception. Somehow, I don't exactly feel an increase in strength in this mode. Only my senses are a lot more.. sensitive, and I can somehow see Dimensional Energy use in a Sorcerer's body.
I don't see where the energy is coming from, to inside his body, but I can see where it goes from there.
"Now that I'm healed, or on the way to healing myself, can anyone tell me since when Midgard has Sorcerers?" I ask finally, a little irritated.
I could have asked before being healed by him, as I still didn't have a reason to trust him. But I trusted my mother. I knew that as soon as the man came forth to heal me, she would have read his whole mind to find out how exactly I was going to be healed. So she would have known everything the man himself knows.
"I think this conversation is not for my ears to hear. Your Grace. May I make a portal from here to Midgard?" Julius interrupts, before anyone can give an explanation.
Odin nods, so Julius says, "Thank you. If you need any more help from us, you may contact the Sorcerer Supreme, and I hope you help us if we need it." He turns to us and says, "Goodbye Princes, Queen Frigga." and makes a portal by spinning his hand clockwise, and enters it.
"Okay, that was pretty impressive, but will he be able to enter our rooms if he wanted to?" I ask Father, knowing that it's a security risk.
"No." He simply says, not bothering with an explanation, irritating every one of us Royal Family.
"Now, now, husband. You have some questions to answer." Mother says, giving him a look which basically says, 'You better answer, or you're sleeping on the couch.'
Odin nods and walks out of the chamber, asking us to follow him. I take my armour, Karna, from Thor's arms, and follow after the family. Once we are in his and mother's rooms, in the Welcoming hall, he has us sit on chairs, and starts his explanation.
"When I was but a boy, and my father, Bor Burrison ruled over the Realm, I was visiting Midgard for one of my adventures. Hunting dragons, fighting Elder Gods, who were the first Gods of Midgard, anything really." Odin pauses and smiles a bit, in melancholy.
He continues speaking, "There I met a man, who thought himself a mortal, but I knew at first look that he was an Elder God, or a child of one. We fought, ended in a tie, and became friends, and went on many an adventure together. Agamotto was a powerful Sorcerer, capable of bringing out magic from both inside himself, and from the outer realms, like the one Baldur is now connected to."
"Did you learn to do it?" Loki asks, interrupting Odin.
"No. I didn't feel the need to. And it was a Midgardian Art. Asgardian Magic was superior to it then." Odin answered, making me shake my head, mentally, you get the point. But I notice he said 'then.' Does he acknowledged that Sorcery is superior to Asgardian Magic now?
"I saved his life once, and he promised that whenever I needed his help for something personal, he would help me, or one of his students would. I didn't get it then, but he went on to found a school for others like him, and taught them the art. Their job was to protect Midgard from threats like Demons, or other Sorcerers, or even threats from out of the realms." Odin explained, more to Frigga, than to us.
He then says, "Every time a new leader of that school was elected, a new Sorcerer Supreme, they and I would have a meeting, honouring our friendship. Sometimes it is once a century, sometimes it's once in a thousand years. They have ways of extending their lives beyond their mortal selves. They would never interfere in our wars, never take sides, and protect this whole realm, protect Yggdrasil from threats from out of it, while Asgard protects Midgard as a whole."
I nod, understanding the real reason Asgard protected Midgard. The fact that the Midgardians worshipped us as Gods was a plus point too.
"And why was I, the Queen, never told of it?" Frigga asks, raising an eyebrow.
Odin looks sad for a bit and says, "Before his ascending to a Higher God of Midgard, I promised him that I would keep the existence of Kamar Taj a secret. Even from you, my Queen."
Frigga nodded, understanding, but not accepting fully.
Thor looks confused, but excited at the prospect of being allowed to go on adventures alone. Loki immediately forgets about the portals, as Odin said Asgardian Magic is superior. I look contemplative, hoping to learn Sorcery. I wonder who the Sorcerer Supreme is.
"So what exactly happened in your trip through the realms?" Mother asks me, changing the subject.
I look around and see that the others are also expecting answers. I close my eyes and say, "In the beginning, it was scary. The first.. 100 or so realms I went through, all had rulers more powerful me. They could have crushed me if they wanted to."
"I think the only reason they didn't is because they knew who I was and didn't want a war with Asgard. At least, for now." I pause, letting them absorb it, then say, "After some million or so realms, I found the perfect realm. Everything about the realm sang to me. It was completely bright, wherever I turned, it was filled with light. It was.. beautiful."
I smile to myself, remembering the Light Dimension. Shaking myself, I continue speaking, "I had to meditate in the Light Realm, and I did it for a long time. It could have been centuries or even Millennia, I don't exactly know, when I felt the Realm accept me. It was a feeling of complete acceptance, and I was intimately connected to the realm."
"Suddenly I knew everything about the realm, and the realm knew everything about me. It was like, I felt like something I had lost a lot of time ago, came back to me. The feeling was.. amazing. Once I was connected to it, I came back here. I think I can go there, spiritually, if I need to. I don't know about physical transportation yet." I said, nodding to myself at the end.
It was true, now that I know how Astral Projection works, by experiencing it, and being a master of magic, I could replicate it when needed. I might need to train for it a bit, but I'll manage within a month of it, that much I know.
"Good. You are healing, so you may start using magic again. But start slow. No training with Ljosgeirr yet until I, or Lady Eir say so. Your new, lighting up is allowed, but only moderately." Mother says.
Father nods and declares, "By the order of Odin Borson, I declare this conversation as a Secret of Asgard. No one other than us 5 are to know about the fact that Baldur is connected to an outer realm." He then turns to me and says, "That said, a sufficiently powerful being will sense that connection unless you learn to hide it."
I nod, understanding the indirect order. Learn how to hide the connection to the Light Realm. Now, if only I knew how. That'd be great.
~~~

A/N: And done. He is now connected to the Light Realm.

Now, he is always, ALWAYS connected to the Light Dimension. ALWAYS. This connection is used both consciously and subconsciously, by him, to heal, or see far away, or see in different spectrums, etc. Previously, he used to use his own magic, and Light Divinity, to do those things.

Now, he'll use his Light Divinity, and the Light Realms Magic to do it.

Also, he can choose when to transfer more of the Light Realm Magic to himself to enhance his body, making it glow like Naruto.

What this form does? You'll know more when I know more.

Anyways, I'll probably upload another chapter in a few hours. If not, in 24 hours. Until then, goodbye.
