"I did not mean that I hate everyone," said Helena.

"I know. I also know that you shouldn't carelessly say things you don't mean, but I also know that you said it to hurt her so you can go back to the palace. Mother and father have taken care of us all our lives. They spoiled us, perhaps too much. Why do you think they suddenly stopped caring about us now?" Hazel asked, wanting to know how Helena's mind worked.

"It was my time to shine. I have given up the prince and all I want to do now is be in the palace with the queen helping me. I am sorry for bringing up you being jealous," Helena apologised, truly regretting her words. "I only wanted to hurt you because you don't defend me enough."

"The jealous comment did not anger me. What I would like is for you to speak to your mother before she dwells on this conversation. I don't want our parents to think they did a terrible job of raising us," Hazel said, thinking of her mother's apology.
