Chapitre 4: Chapter 4: Black Bulls Team
Asta, feeling dejected: "They didn't hear a single word!!!"
A fireball flies past Yami, exploding behind him as he exhales smoke from his cigarette. Yami gathers mana around his arm, punching the wall beside him, destroying it, and angrily says, "Stop destroying the place!"
Asta internally: "You're just like them."
All the Black Bulls notice his presence and rush to greet him, chattering like a flock of sheep.
Yami, with a deathly glare: "Shut up, by the creator of hell."
All the Bulls: "We're sorry!"
Yami points to Asta and says, "This shrimp is the new member. Someone show him around without killing him."
Asta: "My name is Asta from Hage Village. I look forward to working with you from today."
Then Yami points to Satoru: "And this is the other new member."
Complete silence.
Vanessa: "There's no one here, Captain."
Finral: "He left a while ago, Yami-san." A vein pops on Yami's forehead in response to Finral.
Magna looks at Asta: "To have this emblem, we need to acknowledge you, even if Yami brought you here."
Asta, with starry eyes: "Let me get the Magic Knight's robe, please."
Magna smirking: "To get it, you have to pass the initiation rite through me."
Outside, Asta and Magna face each other.
Magna: "All you have to do is deflect or dodge my attack. If you can do that, you're one of us."
Magna sends a fireball towards Asta, who deflects it with his sword at the last moment, hitting Magna instead. Everyone is amazed and welcomes Asta to the team. Vanessa uses her magic to transform Asta's clothes into the official Black Bulls' uniform.
Above the castle, a beautiful girl looks down at them arrogantly: "So, this is the new member. He's an insect."
A response comes from beside her: "You're right, Noelle-chan." Noelle starts sweating at the sound of the voice.
Noelle, sweating, recalls a scene of fighting with her older brother: "Satoru Vermillion, what are you doing here?"
Satoru: "I advise you to enjoy this place. It seems incredibly fun."
Noelle: "Hmph, it's none of your business."
Satoru slightly lifts his eyepatch and looks directly at Noelle. Her cheeks blush slightly before he jumps into the crowd.
Satoru, coming from behind them: "Me, me, me! It's my turn to get a robe." Everyone sweats (except Yami).
Luck, talking to himself: "I didn't sense him." Then he asks Yami nervously, "Who is this, Captain?"
Yami: "Oh, there you are. This is the other new member, Satoru Vermillion."
Yami tells Vanessa: "Vanessa, give him the official uniform." She transforms his clothes into the Black Bulls' uniform.
Magna, excited: "Come on, I'll show you around." The two disappear during their tour and find Noelle in the castle.
Yami directs his mana to his hand, then tries to grab Satoru's head: "Where were you, blind one?"
Satoru, eating Charmy's sweets: "I was touring the place. It's much more fun than the palace."
The next day...
Everyone comes out to find Noelle trapped in her own magic, which is wreaking havoc.
Vanessa: "Wow!"
Yami: "Her magic is out of control."
Magna: "Damn, that's a lot of magic power. If we leave her alone, it'll be really bad."
Yami responds to Magna: "If we suppress her with a magic attack, the girl inside might die. If only we had someone who could cancel magic, then..." He is interrupted by a scream as someone comes flying from the forest.
Yami catches Asta: "You flew right in front of me while I was thinking about you. Go do something about that."
Asta: "How can I do that? I can't get up there!"
Yami grabs Asta with one hand from his back, directs his mana to his hand, then says, "Now is the time to surpass your limits."
He throws Asta towards Noelle. Asta slices her magic in half, causing them both to fall. Before Finral can open a portal beneath them, Satoru appears between them in pajamas with a long cap, yawning. He catches both of them with pure mana, just like Licht did with his followers after they lost to Asta and Yuno.
Asta excitedly: "I'm alive!!!!!"
Yami: "Well done, kid."
Asta: "Thank you."
Magna, biting a handkerchief in frustration: "Damn those royals and their massive magic power."
Luck, smiling: "You have great control over your mana."
Vanessa: "That's right. What's with your crazy control? I bet you're even better than Yami at this."
Satoru, proudly: "That's natural; I'm the strongest!!!"
Everyone laughs at Satoru's words, then they all look at Yami.
Yami: "He's right. The only one who rivals him in strength is Julius."
Satoru looks at Noelle, and his grimoire flies beside him: "Holy Flame Magic: Tear of Love." A focused golden flame shaped like a tear falls on Noelle, healing her from the effects of her out-of-control magic.
Finral: "I'm glad you're okay, Noelle. By the way, there's a restaurant that serves delicious dishes. How about going out for dinner with me sometime?"
Charmy: "Before that, you must try this," holding a piece of food.
Vanessa winks at Noelle: "I'm an expert in controlling magic. I can show you the basics."
Noelle, trying to hold back her tears, Asta extends his hand to her: "Get up, let's start our journey."
