Later that evening, in the safe house, Emma watched Elijah play mobile games with Samuel while she was folding the clean laundry. Watching her son alive, breathing was still nothing less than a wonder to her. If Elijah had not saved her four years ago, she would might have survived but she would have certainly lost her son.

Four years ago, she used to work as Elijah's personal secretary. Everything was fine until she met Blake Anderson.

Blake was Elijah's business partner and a good friend from university. He was handsome, charming, polite, and very kind in nature. That is why she couldn't help but fall in love with that man. And from that point only, her downfall began.

Just a few months into their relationship, Blake changed. At first, she didn't notice and sometimes she just didn't mind. But then came a time when she could not ignore it so she asked him about it hoping that she might be able to help him.

But she was wrong.
