By the time they got home, Nian's mother looked at the things they bought, her face darkened, and her eyes shot daggers at Nian Yuyu.
Nian Yuyu immediately hid behind Chu You, "It's all what he wanted to eat."
While saying this, she also quietly tugged at Chu You's clothes, signaling him to speak.
Chu You picked up on her signals and spoke in a gentle voice, "Auntie, I wanted to eat all these. Yuyu couldn't persuade me otherwise, so she bought them."
Nian's mother: "..."
Did she not see their little act?
Her expression softened a bit, "Then, we'll try these this time, but don't buy so much next time, it's wasteful."
Having said that, she carried the ready-cooked food they bought into the kitchen.
Nian Yuyu sighed in relief, peeking out from behind Chu You; although she had expected her mom wouldn't be mad at Chu You, she still felt slightly indignant at the moment.
Her mom was really too biased!
