Chapitre 157: along with the gods

CONNOR scoffs at her small face and her short brown hair, remembering that this isn't how she looked centuries ago before she ran off. All of the gods are messed up and have no code of conduct they run by; they do whatever they please even if it hurts majority of the population and Connor is aware of that— he too is part of them. He ignores her and begins walking faster towards Zondani's door.

Lara stops him again, "Damnit please, Connor! Don't walk in there. She is very angry now especially now that Rhea is back. If you walk in there, she might—"

He slaps her hands off his shoulder when she grabs it, "Kill me?" He snaps, "So what? You seem fine letting those humans die, so you want to protect me instead?"

Lara steps closer to him, trying to show her authority as the eldest, "Yes. To protect my own brother, I will. I will let those mortals die just to protect you." She glares at him, getting tired of his stubbornness.
