Chapitre 3: THE SECOND SCROLL.

"Brother. I believe he's the one. The one we've been searching for. Our very own champion." A deep velvety voice said into the air. Its source was a handsome middle aged man dressed in a blue suit.

He was located at the top of a four story building, a few blocks away from the school where the kidnapping had occurred. He had naturally seen what happened but chose not to intervene, after all he was of a different faction.

"I wonder if I should act like they did or just talk to him. Maybe talk to him, I really don't have the strength to explain to Daniel the reason our 'champion' is unconscious when I get back." The man said with a sigh before yawning and shaking his head. His thick black hair with a few grey specks hidden within shook vigorously. He then snapped his fingers and appeared within the very same classroom Jerome was cleaning.

Jerome hadn't seen what had occurred in the car park, despite the classroom facing it directly. He however saw the lightning strike and grimaced at the sight of the car before turning back to work.

After a few minutes of monotonous cleaning, accompanied by the loud silence, Jerome took a break and sat on one of the desks. Ay that moment, the man in a blue suit appeared beside him.

"Rather stormy weather we're having, innit?" The deep velvety voice, now with a slight British accent said, the tone soft.

That still didn't stop Jerome from freaking out. He let out a shriek filled with fear and turned to face the man seating on the desk beside him. His slow mind then moved his body, striking out with a punch. The man in a blue suit didn't even move as the punch landed on his face. The sound of bones crunching could be heard as the bones in Jerome's hands were broken.

"Lesson one. Never punch a nice stranger. And that's not exactly the best way to welcome your new teacher and guardian either." The man in a blue suit said, shaking his head in disappointment. "Is this what they teach kids nowadays? Pitiful." He muttered to himself, his tone full of disappointment.

Jerome on the other hand stared at his now broken right hand. For some reason, he was yet to feel the pain or maybe he was feeling it and his mind was taking him away from it.

"Don't think about the pain. Makes it harder to stop you from feeling it. And trust me, you don't want to feel this pain, given what's coming."

"What's coming?" Jerome asked weakly, staring in what seemed to be a mix of fear and awe.

"My name is Bobbly Bob."

"What sort of name is that?" Jerome asked, his face telling that he found it funny but was holding back his laughter. But for someone like the man in a blue suit, that wasn't something he wouldn't have noticed.

"True. It's not my name. My name is Anthony Grey. A special agent assigned to bring you in." Anthony said to Jerome with a small smile.

"Bring me in to where?" Jerome asked, his hidden laughter disappearing instantly.

"You'll see. I'd explain along the way. But we're already there." Anthony said, snapping his fingers as he and Jerome vanished, leaving behind a bucket and a mop as well as some extra cleaning equipment.

The space they arrived at was white. Everything was white. Anthony arrived standing, Jerome was crumpled on the floor, holding his belly as he threw up.

"Yes. I should have warned you. Daniel won't like that his floor is dirty." Anthony said, not making a move to do anything. Just then, the sound of shoes hitting against metal in the form of footsteps rang out.

"Please get someone to clean this thing up." A gravelly voice said, the irritation in it clear and nearly visible. Its source was an old man who was still handsome and vibrant. The muscles hidden beneath his suit would put many body builders to shame. Despite that, he possessed a refined grace about him, unlike Anthony who seemed slovenly.

"Is this him?" Daniel asked, looking down at Jerome. Anthony merely yawned and nodded.

"Take him to the orientation room. I'll be with you shortly. By the way, she's here. Be nice." Daniel said, his tone softening a little bit.

"I'm always nice." Anthony said in reply, a sly smile appearing on his face as his eyes suddenly gained a mischievous glint.
