Chapitre 33: Nightmare.
" Ugh " Young Cole held his head in slight pain. Alyssa seeing this still held her normal expression but she couldn't help but ask her twin if he was ok.
" Yeah , just some weird memories . "
Alyssa let out a small smile .
" You are weird . Anyway , me and Jason will be going to take dad's new car for a test drive , wanna come ? " She asked.
" Actually Adonna and I already have a date " Cole said sheepishly.
Alyssa rolled her eyes .
" You two with your books . "
Cole let out a small laugh as he rubbed the back of his head .
Alyssa walked out as Cole washed his face. After that he proceeded to another room and just let himself enter.
This was a study room filled with shelves full of books. There were two tables with two chairs each. A girl around 18 years sat quietly as she read the book in front of her with clear concentration.
She had long curly black hair and black eyes . She was quite pretty and that was proven with the amount of people who tried hitting on her but they were repelled either by Jason or her condition.
Her attitude of not wanting to relationships was more of a turn on to guys than she thought . After all the harder something is to get , the more it is sought after . That is especially true with males who their desires is to conquer.
Cole walked to her . He wanted to scare her but his actions were quite the opposite as he walked confidently to her .
Once close enough he held her shoulder with some force . She didn't even look back at him as she reached her hand to the seat next to her and tapped it.
Cole sighed and went to sit on that seat.
Adonna looked at him and signed with her hands.
" I knew it was you "
Cole gave out a small sigh and signed back.
" Am I getting predictable ? " He asked .
" Very " Adonna signed back.
She then patted Cole's head earning herself a glare from him .
" Am not 5 anymore , could you stop that ? " Cole signed.
Adonna gave a small smile which was enough to know she was not going too stop.
She then turned to her book and showed it to Cole . Cole nodded understanding her .
" I read up to page 483 " Cole signed.
Adonna's eyes lit up .
" So what happened to Festus ? " She asked.
Cole shook his head then signed.
" No spoilers ?" This made Adonna slightly frown.
" No matter which face you try to show the answer is still no " Cole signed.
" C'mon , how about we go together at my friend's birthday " Adonna tried to entice him.
Cole knew why she said that . Her friend had a younger sister that he had a crush on.
But for her sake and to enjoy the book he refused.
Cole went and took another book.
TALES OF TOBIAS .
Adonna rolled her eyes at seeing this . She was more engrossed in her book and wanted spoilers but her cheeky sibling has become more immune to her prying. She would change her approach of asking later .
Luckily for the both of them they had read this book and were quite knowledgeable but still they hadn't finish fully comprehending it.
Their father entered the library and saw those two . He also wanted to read some books and would sometimes join in their debates but when he saw the book he quickly removed himself as he hadn't read it.
Alyssa and Jason were more of their mother. More extroverted and daring. They liked to try new things and they thrived best on social places.
Cole and Adonna on the other hand were introverted and liked diving into their books. They were to some point socially awkward with new people . Much like their father
But the siblings all had a symbiotic relationship. Cole and Adonna were practically forced to associate with people when they were with Alyssa and Jason while Alyssa and Jason never failed their exam because the other two made sure they studied. They were also kept away from trouble by Cole and Adonna as trouble had a way of following them.
Their father walked to the sitting room and met his wife watching a movie. His wife seeing him beckoned him to come and watch it together to which he agreed.
*** Two hours later ***
BANG !!!
The couple jumped back in shock as they saw the door fly at an incredible speed.
From their emerged a man in his early twenties. He was incredibly handsome with blonde hair and blue eyes. His expression was smug as he walked calmy to the room.
Cole's father seeing this as the man of the house reached to the side of the couch where he had kept a handgun.
He pointed it towards the intruder but before he could pull the trigger it suddenly disappeared together with both his hands.
He let out a painful groan as his wife worriedly tried to help him prevent the building.
The intruder looked at them with sadistic eyes. To him this was normal.
He suddenly spoke his voice commanding.
" I have killed both your son and daughter for disrespecting me " He said.
And to prove his point a spatial portal appeared . Two heads fell down with blood still on them . Their horrified expressions were frozen in time.
Cole's mother seeing this let out a horrified scream as she hurried to those two heads . She screamed in motherly pain.
" Damn you ! " She said as she angrily rushed to the intruder .
The intruder smirked as he raised his hand .
Cole's father sensed something quite wrong and pushed his wife to the side at a split second decision.
He suddenly engulfed in flames. His skin melted at a visual speed he walked once before falling down.
Cole who had heard the commotion went to check .
" Why is there so much no..... " He froze .
He saw his mother crying full of horror , a flaming corpse the build of his father and two heads Jason's and Alyssa's
" Alyssa ?" He asked his face frozen in horror. His heart beat increasing .
His eyes were slowly becoming bloodshot as his killing intent surged . He looked at the intruder . The intruder saw this miniscule killing intent and laughed.
" Look another comes to die. " The man said with a sadistic smile . Cole was about to pounce but suddenly he heard his mother's voice.
" Run !! Save your sister " She said before being engulfed in flames .
Cole's body hearing his mother's words despite not wanting to run his body reacted against his orders.
He rushed to the study room but once he reached the room he saw the same intruder.
He held Adonna who was struggling to break but all was futile.
" Let her go !! " Cole said before he rushed at the intruder . The intruder smiled at this . He let her go but she suddenly erupted in flames .
Cole's eyes caught all this , his body momentarily losing control as he saw flames engulf and kill her sisters.
He gave out a pained cry.
He jumped towards him and threw a punch but the intruder easily dodged before delivering a powerful kick .
Cole flew like a ragdoll before hitting the shelves. He spurted blood before books fell on him.
The intruder amused by his antics waited for him to emerge.
The books shuffled revealing his face and bloodied body.
The intruder expecting to see eyes full of rage was surprised to see sorrow and a sense that his life didn't matter.
He had hollow and lifeless eyes. Eyes that seemed to accept death.
" Tch " The intruder muttered before raising his hand ready to blast him.
" Why did you do this " Cole asked as tears fell from his hollow eyes.
The intruder slowly lowered his hands . A smile spread on his face.
" Why !! Because it is fun . To be honest I wasn't even offended by your brother , I was just bored " The intruder said as a psychotic grin appeared in his face.
" All this because you were bored ? " Cole asked.
The rage in his heart being replaced with something worse.
" Of course , after all ants deserve to be stepped on " The psychotic grin never escaped the intruder's face.
He raised his hand.
" You are all ants after all " He said.
" I'll kill you " Cole muttered.
" Huh ? "
Cole's heart started burning with something dark , pure hatred.
The building started to shake , the gentle breeze outside increased becoming more chaotic .
The intruder felt a dark aura raise from Cole .
" Huh , he was the one !! " He gasped as Cole slowly rose from where he was . His hair started growing and so did his muscles however as they bulged they slowly condensed.
His eyes turned complete black where nothing could be felt but the abyss.
" I'LL KILL YOU "
" Shit , Shit , Shit !! You were not the one . " He released his flames but it got engulfed by this being .
" What did I awaken "
6 hours later Cole walk gasped awake , he couldn't remember anything.
Beside him the intruder breathed raggedly , both his arms and legs were ripped out . They were deep in the forest .
Cole's side of the face was badly burned.
The intruder seeing him wake up laughed before coughing out blood.
" See you in.... hell " He said as his eyes lost life. A smirk spread on his face.
Cole then remembered what really happen . He stood up and ran to the house .
" Please be a dream , Please " He said as his speed increased.
' Mom , Dad , Alyssa , Adonna , Jason . Please be safe. '
Memories flashed . His family , their smiles.
But when he got a clear view , he stopped.
He clenched his head in agony .
" No no no no !!! "
The view slowly became distorted as he woke up.
Cole breathed raggedly as he consoled himself.
" Calm down , Calm down " He said.
After his breathing stabled . He finally got a clear view of where he was.
He sat on a comfy bed with white sheets. The area around him was clean and neatly decorated . There was a medieval study table and lamp coupled with some books.
On another corner was a normal sword in it's sheathe .
A mirror was to his other side. He looked at his appearance and his eyes widened.
" What the fuck "
