"I won't be alone for God's sake, Ethan. Also, I gave told you the names of the new members yesterday, right? You confirmed yourselves that I don't need to be wary around them!"

Shikera sighed exasperatedly, her head placed in her hands as she sat on the couch. Who would tell Ethan that he was totally behaving out of character? Cause how would he tell her that she was not allowed to leave the house that night?

"I don't care," she heard the man's voice and looked up to him.

Sitting on the sofa opposite her while working on his laptop, Ethan didn't bother looking at her face before refusing her from leaving the house that night.

Shikera exhaled loudly, "And...I don't need you to care, Ethan. This is my job and I have to do this, without minding if you want me to or not."

As she expected, he looked up slowly as if to make sure she was the one who just talked.
