Arin was finally back in his room as he shut the door. With a sigh, he sat down on the bed, staring at the window.
Before he and Lina separated, she eventually asked him how he was able to defeat four second-year students like that. Apparently, her emotional rollercoaster had settled, and she remembered the fact that Arin had just defeated four second-year students on his own.
Arin knew that avoiding the question would be quite impossible, so he just bluffed it off as luck, saying that Bryger and the other three students were already tired from their missions and had depleted their Mana, so he just barely managed to land hits on them.
After much pestering, Lina finally gave up and accepted his answer. After all, she was just happy that they were both okay.
Arin gazed outside, noticing that it was already getting dark. But for some reason, he was feeling... tired.
He squinted his eyes as he stretched his muscles.
'I'm not supposed to feel tired anymore,' Arin thought. 'So what is happening?'
As a Vampire, he thought that he wouldn't have that feeling anymore, but for some reason, he was tired.
"Of course you'll feel tired," Seraphine suddenly said.
Arin raised a brow after hearing what Seraphine said. "Explain."
"I know it's unusual for a Vampire to feel tired, but on some occasions, it can't be avoided," Seraphine began. "First of all, your increased urge for Blood can make you slightly tired."
"And apart from that," she added, "you pushed yourself to the limit while fighting Alex. I'm sure it added to that slight tiredness, together with the fact that you used the Overheat and Aura Skills at the same time."
From Seraphine's tone, Arin knew she was sure about the urge for Blood making him slightly tired, but he could tell that she wasn't too sure about the Skills adding to his tiredness.
Arin furrowed his brows. 'Though I think there might be one more thing causing this tiredness.'
He didn't receive any notification about any side effect of using the Chaos Element when fighting Alex, but just because there was no notification didn't mean that he didn't get any side effect at all.
"It's possible that a side effect is also causing this tiredness," Arin thought.
Though the tiredness wasn't anything serious, he discarded the issue for now.
He had to meet Tessa tomorrow, and she would definitely question him about how he suddenly transformed into a Vampire.
"And there's still the mystery behind that Dark Energy that was seeping out from Alex's body," Arin murmured to himself.
"If I recall correctly, Alex killed Tessa's parents two years before his entrance into the Academy. Though, when showing Tessa what happened, I excluded him talking to them."
Arin wasn't really sure and couldn't completely remember what Alex told them. That was why he decided to exclude that part. But now that he was racking his brain to remember, it wasn't something good... He was simply telling them that their death would be needed for his...
"Growth," Arin said his thought out loud.
"And the author also mentioned that Tessa's parents weren't the only ones," Arin added. "Though it didn't mention the others, it was just a hint that Alex has killed more people... probably for this growth thing."
'Could this growth be that Dark Aura? If so, then how did he do it?'
"That's a lot to think about," Seraphine muttered.
But suddenly...
"Ugh..." Arin groaned with a frown on his face as he gripped his head in pain.
And in that same instant, images began flashing in his head, sending information directly to him. The process was a bit painful, but it was something he could handle.
The information kept coming for what felt like thirty minutes, but it was actually five minutes.
Finally, it stopped, and Arin let go of his head.
"Master! Master!" Seraphine exclaimed. "I've been calling you, but you didn't respond."
While that information was transferring to Arin, he couldn't hear Seraphine's voice, but now that it was done, he could finally hear her.
"Something just happened..." Arin could only mutter as he tried to sort out the information he just received.
[###### has decided to let you know something. He expects that you'll use it well and solve the issue.]
Arin's eyes instantly widened as he finished sorting out the information he just received.
"Th... This is exactly the answer I've been waiting for," Arin stammered before looking at the system screen.
He raised a brow with a smirk on his face. "The issue, huh? It's definitely about Tessa. This information will make me convince her easily tomorrow."
Though he couldn't deny the fact that he was still wary of this unknown person. This person helped him regain his body back when Seraphine was trying to take over, and now, this same unknown person just gave him valuable information.
"I mean, I already guessed that this would be the case, but this information just further proved it," Arin murmured.
The information he just received was about Alex and how that Dark Aura came to be. It was the same answer he got when he thought about it, so he wouldn't say this information really helped him. At the end of the day, he figured it out himself.
Alex killed Tessa's parents, and many others, just for a single thing. And he didn't just kill these people because he saw them randomly; rather, he killed them because their Blood was special, and that was exactly the type of Blood he needed to carry out the ritual.
He had a way to spot people with this special Blood, and after killing them, he drained their Blood while activating a certain spell. This spell corrupts the Blood, adding more power to it before it enters his body.
Arin placed his finger on his chin. "So he's able to use this corrupted Blood in him to enhance his Physical Capabilities, cast his usual Spells but with more power because of the corruption, and also heal himself."
"That's the origin of that Dark Energy," Arin added. "Though, I still don't know what Spell he used or how he even got the Spell."
A grin suddenly appeared on his face as he stared outside. "My meeting with Tessa tomorrow is definitely going to be interesting....."
