Andrew stayed up all night thinking of all the possibilities. He went back to Carol's room and he felt nothing he then returned to his study. He sat down on the sofa and opened up his son's keepsake box. Opening the lid he was hit with the scent of coconut and watermelon. It was the complete opposite of Carol's scent. Why hadn't he noticed this scent more when he held his sons.
Back then he was consumed with pack business and the company so when he did come home to his loveless home. He would check on his sons who were with the nanny and then return to work to study. He genuinely felt he had wasted his years.
Yes, he had a thriving company and a strong pack to hand to his sons but that was it. He sat back and closed his eyes. He held the blanket and hoped that somewhere out there his mate still lived. Could he have happiness this late in life?
A little bit of Lucian and Iris...
