The room was quiet. The emperor lay on his bed with his eyes closed. He had been like that since the day his queen left. Many doctors have tried to make him open his eyes but failed.
"Your highness, a letter came from Norvia" Prince Edward said, hoping that his eyes will be open but they didn't. With a disappointed face, he walked to where the king laid and bend "My mother has sent a letter, father."
His brow furrowed in confusion as the prince mentioned the word mother. It was if it triggered his senses. The emperor tried to move his hand but he couldn't.
Prince Edward knelt beside the bed and placed a hand on his "it's okay. Queen Ariadne will soon come home. She sent a letter."
"She wrote it?" the emperor suddenly asked. Everyone was surprised that he spoke. He never uttered a word.
"Yes. A messenger from Norvia brought it" Queen Aslaug explained. "It has their seal on it."
