'Jin.'

The man flinched all of the sudden and in the wake of his subconscious mind, Jin Longwen breaked right away. His car screeched to a stop at the side of the highway. He felt it then, crystal clear in this moment of peace, his heart pounding, slowly but painfully.

The voice was ringing in his head as if counting down the start of the impending fear. And he knew it well what it was that bounded his mind in its tight grip, the rolling set of numbers that continued to tick away.

It left him breathless as he glanced at the rear-view mirror. Yet, the reflection wasn't his own, but a pair of misty dark eyes instead. His grip tightened at the shadow dragging behind him.

It was the same.

Different ploy, different actors, but the same rush of time.

It would be his lie if the whole thing did not haunt him. He could be anything - brave, ruthless, a man of many calibres. But, he could never outlaw the fact that...
