I didn't go to the dining room until dinner time. I knew that Ian would come looking for me if I didn't show up. So before dinner time, Ian sent word that he wanted me to wait for him in the dining room. As soon as he returned to court, he would go to the dining room and have dinner with me.

This time I didn't listen to him. I hid in the bedroom. My sex counselor, Miss Lola, told me that men like obedient women, but the occasional transgression of a woman can surprise and thrill a man. "Annie, are you in there?" Ian pushed the door open and entered the room, and when he saw that only one light was burning in the room and I was not in bed, he became a little anxious.
