Chapitre 92: Meeting William Again

A soft voice like the spring breeze lingered in my ears. Then, when I opened my eyes, I saw William's eyes as bright as the stars.

"William?" I coughed dryly and saw William sitting beside me. He gently held my back and made me sit up.

"Why am I here?" I recalled jumping into the river to escape Alpha Mike, but why was William here?

"Good question!" William looked at me calmly. "Queen Katheran ordered me to lead the king's cavalry to the battlefield to meet Ian, and when I was about to reach the Maple Tree Pack, I was told not to enter their territory. So I led the army to set up camp beside the valley, but I did not expect to meet a mermaid like you!"

"Alpha Mike defected. He wanted to capture me to take credit for Madeleine!" I said, "He forced me to the edge of the cliff, so I had to jump off the cliff!"

"Alpha Mike switched camps?" William frowned. "It seems that my guess is correct. But choosing to side with Madeline now is extremely stupid!"
