Chapitre 23: A WISH

"Nothing," I said as I brushed past him. My legs didn't cover much distance because he stopped me halfway with a gentle grip on my hand. He turned me to face him but I couldn't look him in the eyes. It was too overwhelming for me. With the way he looked at me, I was sure I would easily burst into tears.

"Tell me, Amy. What had you looked like a frightened kitten? I can't make it go away if you don't tell me." his gaze on me was so intense I could literally feel it on me.

"I told you, it's nothing," I said, looking away. How could I tell him that I saw ghosts? He wouldn't believe me. He might even find me incompetent as a therapist and conclude I was seeing things. I decided to investigate the matter on my own if it kept repeating.

"Have it your way then." With his face morphed with disappointment, he let go of me. When he almost opened the door, I screamed.

"No! Please don't open the door!"
