Chapitre 101: The Perfume

Venus sees to the gifts presented to her by the nobles. She looked at the bottled perfumes from Lady Mecahl's father and took one. She thanked them, and when the music started, Prince Bueng led her to her father for her first dance.. The king approached them for her second dance. They exhanged partner with the king father and queen mother. 

"You look beautiful as always, gughma; you're stunning tonight," he said.

"I was not the first one you complimented tonight, husband," she said as Damoen frowned.

"You agreed that Mecahl is beautiful too, and he was the first lady to whom you gave your compliment tonight," she replied.

"Are you jealous of that petty woman, gughma?" He asked incredulously.

"Of course, I am jealous even of the cat you paid attention to," she whispered.

"Don't be; you are the only woman for me, gughma. No one else. How did you know, by the way?" he asked.
