Apollo
Apollo hesitantly nodded, placing the helmet on his head. He hops on behind Faline, and hugs onto his waist. "Is this ok?" He asked, not sure if Faline was ok with this, though he only laughed. "You pulled me into the bathroom to make out with me, we did a lot more than you hugging my waist." He joked.
Apollo shrugged, hugging himself tighter and laying his chin on Faline's shoulder so he could see in front. The conversation went quiet as Faline started the short drive. He knew where he was going, or at least the area. They were going into the city. It was rare that this happened, since most of the time, Apollo only went straight to work. He liked living in the more traditional land of Japan.
He think he might have fallen asleep, since the next time he opened his eyes, Faline was soldering him to his chest. He had turned around after parking somewhere so they would be facing each other. "Good morning sleepy head." He chuckled, pulling Apollo closer to him.
"Hi, sorry I didn't get much sleep last night." He mumbled. He sat up and noticed the sheer closeness the two of them had obtained, he was only centimeters away from Faline. The pink-haired boy laid his arms on Apollo's shoulders. "It's fine, you wanna sleep more? We can just stay here." He said with a shrug, though Apollo shakes his head.
"No, I actually wanna remember this date." Faline raised an eyebrow. "Date now, hm? Wow, I am shocked that I am on a date with a married man." He slides off his seat, Apollo shortly following. He combed a hand through his hair, watching as the gang leader started walking to the door to whatever restaurant this was. "Aren't you going to look up your bike?" Faline shakes his head with a smile.
"Everyone knows who it belongs to. They also know what is best for them."
Faline
Faline walked inside the cute restaurant, holding Apollo's hand to guide him to a booth. "What is this place?" Apollo asks, causing Faline to smile. How could he never have been here, this place has the best food in the world!
The restaurant was nice, having cute bear decals on the walls. The color palette was mostly pastel browns and tans, to complement the bear theme. Faline sat him down, before sitting on the other side. "Warning, don't order something boring. You'll regret it, I promise." Most of Japan's menu included something with fish since that was their main source of food, however, Faline didn't like seafood all that much, so he already knew what he would order.
"I'm Minoru and I'm your server today. So what can I start you off with?" Apollo seemed to not know what was happening, so Faline seemed to step in. "Just two glasses of water please." He says, and the waitress smiled. "Of course." She steps away, most likely going to a different table.
"'Don't get anything boring, right?' You just ordered the plainest drink in the world." Apollo says with a soft smirk and his eyebrows raised. "Very true, but I was talking about food. They have specialty drinks, but they aren't that good." Apollo hums, somewhat understanding.
"Besides, boring drinks means your going to get exciting food. It's science." Apollo scoffed."So what, this is just a normal restaurant?" Faline shakes his head. The server comes back with two glasses of water, placing them in front of both men.
"Ok, do you guys know what you want or do you want me to come back." Faline looked at Apollo, knowing he's not ready, but he didn't want to say anything just yet. "Uh, can you come back?" She smiled and nodded, walking off. "Advice?" He asked Faline, who smiled and laughed.
"I thought you were a police officer, unwanted conversations are like your thing." He says, sipping on his water. He leaned back slightly as his phone buzzed. He pulled his phone out, reading the text. Tuesday 5 a.m
"What's wrong, you seemed stressed." Faline glanced up, waving him off. "Haha nothing, just dealing with some stuff." He shrugged lightly, smiling towards Apollo. "You would expect a cafe to be so busy on a Sunday, but it's not." Apollo hummed, glancing up to look around before backing at the menu. People were sitting down, chattering amongst themselves.
"So, you should get the rice and omelet. Trust me, it's amazing." Faline said, pointing to the words on Apollo's menu. He looked at it and smiled. "'Seems delicious, what about you." Faline shrugged. "You choose." Apollo nodded.
He watched the cute police officer in front of him, with brown and white hair hiding his golden eyes. His childlike eyes. He would love to look in those eyes forever. "Ok, I got it." Faline quickly looked away from Apollo, instead deciding to look out the window. Oh, what a beautiful day it was…
"You're not going to tell me?" He asked, turning back to look at Apollo as if he had been looking out the window all that time. He shakes his head. "Nope, you just gotta be surprised." Faline nodded softly. "So I'm curious, Babe, that wife of yours. Do you care about her?" Apollo gave him a confused look.
"Uh, yes of course." He hummed. So Apollo cares about his wife, he probably cares about the whole city. "Then why do you always hang out with me?" He asks, keeping his cool stare. Apollo sucked in a breath. "I care about her, a lot. But I don't, I don't love her. Not anymore, not for a long time. But I'll always care about her."
"Do you plan on divorcing her or something?" He asks, softly. In reality, he didn't want to be that person that Apollo hangs out with during nighttime, whilst in the daytime, he lives with his wife. It was fun when there was nothing involved, but now a lot more things got involved than Faline expected. At Apollo's silence, Faline decided to keep talking. "I like you, Apollo. But I don't want to be a second option-"
Apollo
"I do. I want to divorce her. But I don't want to hurt her." Where did this conversation even come from? Whatever happened to the sarcastic jokes and funny warnings? "Well, as much as I would hate to do this, you have to pick." He said softly, and Apollo only nodded.
He had been thinking about what to do. He wanted to be with Faline, he knows that for sure. But, he didn't want to see Tori's face when he had to tell her. He feels guilty, which hurts him to the core. The waitress came back just in time. "Ok, are we ready to order?"
Apollo nods happily, though he lets Faline go first. "Can he get A Very Beary Omelette with brown rice?" She nods, turning to Apollo. "And for you sir?" He took a moment to look at the food item he chose.
"The Panda Town Dashi Soup. However, instead of potatoes, can he get carrots?" He could tell Faline was smiling, even though his mouth was covered. "Ok, got it." She says, before walking off. Faline seemingly stood up out of nowhere, walking over to Apollo's side of the table to crush in a hug. "You remembered!" He said happily.
Apollo chuckled softly, hugging Faline back. "Yes, I did. Who knew you could have such a hard hug." Faline sits up and shrugs. "Whoever said that was the only hard thing I can have." Apollo rolls his eyes. That was the Faline he knew.
