Chapitre 42: The Magical Instruments Room

I was waiting outside the Magical Conference Hall building for Lin. I looked up at the dark sky filled with those beautiful shining stars and the moon. I started walking outside the building slowly. The cold night breeze felt really good. The rustling sounds of the breeze hitting the leaves of the tree. The soft grass beneath my foot. The pleasing scent of grass and the trees. It all feels amazing.

I smiled and looked at the dark sky, "I don't know whether I will be able to feel this beauty of nature again. Who knows that it might be my last time feeling this beauty."

I took deep breaths.

"Of course, you will feel all of them again. What the hell made you think that you won't be able to feel them again."

I turned around and saw Lin standing there. Although it was dark still under the moonlight I could easily tell that he was frowning.

I smiled and stepped towards him, "Lin, no one knows what will happen to them the next moment of their life. Even I the most powerful person who had ever existed can't tell. No matter what we do, we are bound to our fate."

"Ahh...", before I could know Lin had pulled me into a tight hug. I could easily feel his heartbeat. For a while, my heart just skipped a beat.

"Lin, I am gonna suffocate", I told him.

He released me in a hurry.

"I am sorry for my strange behavior", he looked down into my eyes.

I don't know why but I saw the pain in his eyes. It hurt me to see him like this. He bent down and touched my forehead with his.

"Mia, please don't say anything which means losing you", his words were as a whisper.

I touched his face with my hand and smiled at him, "I don't know why it is making you sad but don't worry I won't mention it again. But Lin you can't run away from fate."

He held tightly my hand that was touching his face, "But I want to run and hide from the cruel realities of the world till I can."

I smiled at his words, "Then as you wish. I think it is getting late, we should better hurry up and do what we are here for."

Lin stepped back and nodded.

"Then follow me", with those words we went inside the building.

I took him to the Magical Instruments Room. I opened the door with my magic. We stepped inside the huge doors. The doors closed the moment we entered. I looked at Lin who was looking around in a confused manner.

I chuckled at him.

Lin turned around and looked at me, "Why are you laughing?"

I stopped chuckling and smiled, "It's just that you are looking quite confused."

He chuckled, "It's unpredictable and confusing. The room is filled with numerous significant and vulnerable magic powers. I am confused that why you brought me here because this place looks quite reserved."

I stepped forward into the dark and quiet room. I used my spells and the candles in the room lit up. The whole room was filled with rare magical instruments.

Lin began to look around in shock, "Mia, they all are very unique. Their auras and their looks. I am at loss for words to describe them. But why do you bring me here."

I went to one of the tables where an old golden jade was placed, "Lin you are right. This room is indeed reserved. Besides me and Hao, you are the only person who had ever stepped in this room."

I stroked the jade and looked at Lin, "You once said that I might not trust you but see I trust you the most. To the extent that I brought you here. Now, I want to give you some great responsibility. Hope you will be able to take care of it."

Lin stepped towards me. He held both of my hands, "Mia, I know you trust me. Please, forget those impulsive words. What responsibility do you want to give me?"

I looked down at his hands that were holding mine, "Come with me."

I took him to the summoning mirror that was covered with a cloth. I removed the cloth and looked at him, "Lin, this is a summoning mirror. I don't know whether I will survive the battles. Or what if something happens and I couldn't return in time..."

Before I could finish my words Lin held me tightly by my shoulders and stared into my eyes," Mia you said that you won't talk about this. I will not let anything happen to you."

I smiled at him, "I know you won't let anything happen to me but please listen to me. I am telling you this in case I couldn't reach the island in time. It doesn't mean I will die."

Lin frowned. I gave him a pleading look. He sighed and nodded.

I smiled, "That's great then listen to me carefully. When we defeat the spirits I will capture them in a stone."

I showed him a black-white colored stone, "This is the stone. Once all the spirits are captured inside I will bring them here to the mirror. Inside this mirror is the evil spirit's half-body whose core is inside my body."

Lin looked at the mirror, "I also noticed a great amount of evil aura from it but Mia if you bring other spirits to it then it might be powerful and would be dangerous."

I looked in the mirror, "Everything in the universe has a good and bad side. The same is the case with the spirit, it also has two sides and the one inside is the good one. We have to bring the other small spirits to him before the bad side takes them. If the bad side took them he will become powerful enough to absorb this good side as well. Then his body will be complete and would be undefeatable."

Lin looked at me, "But how can bringing them to him help us."

I sighed, "Once he absorbs them his body will be able to attract the evil one and will perish forever. In case the stone is in danger then bring it here so he could absorb the spirits."

Lin touched my face and smiled, "No need to worry I will do my best."
