Chapitre 40: Forbidden Weapon

Later, Liam arrived and now it was his turn for the test. Mia also told him to first use the power that he can control the best.

He smiled, "Your Highness, it is quite easy enough to control all of them. Now that you had asked for the one that can be controlled the best then I would like to use water magic. Normally, I use both water and air together but today I will be using only water."

Mia stared at him and raised a questioning brow, "Really? If that's the case then you can use double or triple powers at a time. I don't mind that. What do you say?"

He laughed, "As you wish then."

His laugh really felt disgusting. They stood at a distance from each other. Both of them facing each other. Liam smiled creepily and then raised his hand in the air.

A Dragon Blood sword appeared in his hand which normally contains the essence of water magic but this was different. It contained all three water, air, and earth essences. I was shocked to see such a horrible weapon because once a magical weapon's essence is combined with other essences it will become a disaster.

Mia was also shocked. I saw her frowning at the sight of the weapon. She glared at Liam, who was standing there proudly with the sword, "What do you want to implement by taking out this sword?"

Liam gave a calm smile, "Your Highness, you said it yourself that I am allowed to use different magical elements."

Mia frowned, "But I didn't give you the permission to bring out something murderous, or do you want to kill me?"

His smile faded, "Your Highness, please don't say that. I would never dare to do that. I wish that you could live for many centuries. I will only use it against my enemies. I just summoned it so that you can find out my level of strength properly. Don't worry I will try my best not to harm you."

A sword appeared in Mia's hand, "Then show me your power."

I was really worried about Mia. She can't use her power to the fullest because of her curse. What if.... no...no...

Liam charged toward Mia. His sword reached Mia and she was motionless. Oh no, I had to do something or she might get hurt.

I was about to rush towards Mia but suddenly something happened, "Ah... the flash is too strong."

There was a huge flash of light.

"Ahhhhhh...", I heard Liam's voice.

When the flash disappeared, I saw Mia who had stopped the attack of the Dragon Blood sword with two fingers of her hand. As for Liam he was still holding the sword with one hand and had knelt throwing up blood.

There was a cut on his hand by which he was holding the sword and the sword seemed to be absorbing the blood. He seemed in too much pain.

Mia was staring at him. She then created a small magical ball and brought it to the sword. The sword absorbed it and fell to the ground from Liam's hand.

I rushed to them, "Your Highness, are you alright?"

Mia looked at me and nodded. She then knelt to see Liam, who looked miserable. Mia put her hand on the cut on his hand and healed it. She then put her hand on his forehead and started healing him.

After a while, she stopped the healing, "Liam, you should better go to the healing tree. I can't heal your injuries further. Keep one thing in mind that if you fill a balloon with too much air it will burst."

Liam looked at Mia, "Your Highness, what about the sword?"

Mia glared at him, "You almost died because of it and you still are worried about it. Anyways, I will keep it to myself because it is a forbidden weapon. You should be thankful that I didn't punish you for using the forbidden war weapon. Forget about it."

He began to beg, "Your Highness, please I beg you give it back."

Mia gave him a furious look, "Then choose yourself whether you want that sword or being my mate."

He stayed silent. Mia looked at me, "Lin, please take him to the healing tree and if he resists then use force."

I nodded. With those words, she rushed out of the arena in anger. I took him to the healing tree but he didn't resist. Now I understand what she meant by the balloon thing.

After a while, I went to see Mia who was sitting in the Conference room. She for sure was furious. I slowly walked towards her and sat next to her.

She looked at me and sighed, "Lin, it seems that you were successful in taking him to the tree."

I smiled, "Of course, that's why I am here. He became silent after your last words."

She laughed, "Lin, sometimes I wish that when I wake up in the morning I will find out that all that had been happening were my dream. A scary dream. He is silent because he is confused. Both things are important to him. He wants power and for that, he will need both the sword and the title of my mate."

I grabbed her hands and smiled, "Mia, even if it isn't a dream then just think of it as a scary dream that will be over soon. By the way, I found out what you meant by telling me and him about the balloon."

Mia stared at me, "Then what do I mean?"

I looked at her, "You meant that just like balloons, we shouldn't greed for too much power or it might kill us."

She nodded, "We are like a weak container for the magical powers we poses. If you add too much power into this container then it will break. If you have too much power then you must suffer too much pain. Just like Liam, who is greedy for power and used a weapon that contains too much power. His body was weak for it and eventually, the power hurts him."

Liam was sitting beneath the healing tree. He punched the ground in anger, "How could she ask me such a thing? I will show her how I will take both of the choices."
