Chapitre 30: Controlled

"But I didn't mean to do something like that although I hate him a lot", I tried to explain myself.

She turned around and looked at me, "Alright, if I agree with that then what about your behavior? I told you to transform but you didn't listen to me. I told you that we shouldn't behave as friends in front of him. In front of him, you are my loyal and obedient subordinate."

"I am sorry, Mia. But I was controlled. I can tell you he was controlling me."

She stared at me, "What do you mean controlled by him? Did he also control you to disobey me?"

I remained silent because of her questions. She is right I shouldn't have behaved that way.

It is indeed my fault.

"Mia, you are right that disobeying you in front of him was my fault but he indeed forced me to fight with him. My mind was controlled by him. I don't know how he did that but I felt rage filling me at his sight."

Mia sighed deeply, "You better go back."

I went towards her and grabbed her hand, "So, you don't believe me?"

She looked into my eyes "I know that you are not lying but there is something I need to figure out. I do trust you. I trust you the most but please be careful."

Her eyes filled up with tears.

"Are you alright Mia?", I was worried.

She held my arm and put her head on it, "It's just that I am tired. I don't know how long can I survive these situations."

I moved her in front of me and hugged her, "You will live a long life. I won't let anything happen to you. Just like today when you became my shield and protected me, from now on I am your shield just come and hide whenever you want to."

She was crying. I could feel her hot tears that had made my shirt wet. It was really painful for me to see her in pain. I want to take her somewhere away from this world.

I entered my room closing the door behind myself. My back was hurting a lot since the moment I came back although I had been under the healing tree. After taking a bath I went to sleep but it was uncomfortable.

"Ugh... it is hurting a lot but why?"

It was as if hundreds or thousands of needles were entering my back. I used the self-healing magic but it didn't work. Instead, I got exhausted.

The whole time I was rolling around on the bed. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I looked at the clock, it was almost midnight.

I got up my guard and went to open the door. I was ready for attack in case it was someone evil.

I slowly unlocked the door and opened it while standing behind it.

"Lin", I heard Grandpa's voice.

I came out from behind the door and to my surprise, Mia was standing there with Grandpa.

"Mia, how can you be here at this late hour?"

"Ouch...", Grandpa hit me on the head.

"Even if you are Her Highness's friend still you don't have the right to question her. Now let us enter before someone sees us", he scolded me.

Mia chuckled.

My back started hurting again.

"Lin, I know your back must be hurting a lot but don't worry I came to help you with that", Mia said worriedly.

"You fool. Whenever I would tell you to train you would ignore me. Now you see. You were beaten up", Grandpa started lecturing me.

"Grandpa, you don't know how hard I punched him and I was the one who bravely attacked him first. His nose and mouth were all bleeding. In the end, I almost killed him", I told him proudly.

He stared at me, "Do you think it is something to be proud of? Haven't I told you to never attack first? Let your competitor take the initiative and you should observe them. You are supposed to observe their moves and powers so, that you could act accordingly. It is what he did to you."

"Lin your Grandfather is right. It is how he almost killed you in his last attack. Anyhow, I had to appreciate one thing that you remembered my lesson and fought against the clones successfully. Although you are a good learner tiny mistakes can cause you great harm so, better be careful in the future because I won't be with you everywhere to help or guide you", Mia said.

Although it made me sad when she said that she won't be with me everywhere but I was happy that she appreciated my learning skills.

"Lin give me your hand", she asked me.

I gave her my hand. She closed her eyes and began to feel my pulse. She was sweating. Her expressions changed.

She suddenly opened her eyes and was breathless. It was the same as before when she felt my pulse.

"Mia, are you alright?"

She didn't speak. I brought her a glass of water. She drank it hurriedly.

"Your Highness, your reaction is not normal. I think the situation is complicated", Grandpa said worriedly.

His words were confusing. Mia looked at me, "Lin, earlier you said that your mind was controlled by him. Can I ask how your anger calmed down?"

I looked into her eyes, "You. I mean you made my anger disappear."

She confusingly looked at me, "But I didn't use any spell."

"While I was fighting with him and saw you, my mind was relaxed. I felt calm. The moment I nailed him down it was your voice that distracted me and I couldn't notice his attack. Even when you say next to me and rubbed my head I felt very comfortable. The pain in my head that was tearing me up inside disappeared", I explained to her.

Mia moved her hand in the air and a shining big White pearl appeared in her hand.

Grandpa knelt at its sight and started begging, "Your Highness, please don't be impulsive."
