Even though Becca knew Amani was right, she had no intention of letting her know that. Not at that particular moment when their emotions were high anyway. She knew confirming the truth of Amani's words about Leonardo at that very moment would make Amani feel more emotional about the situation, that was why she would rather lie so her friend would feel good at the moment than telling the truth that would make her feel sad
