There could only be two reasons why Diego isn't here, firstly, has to be the fact that Edward had done something to him, yeah, that has been Joanna's suspicion but then that would only mean that he's exerting his revenge on his sonz because he thinks that Diego was the one responsible for what happened to Giovanni.
