His body was becoming increasingly tense. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move. The soft, warm weight on his belly, was moving as if it were slipping.
He tried to open his eyes, but they refused to move. He was covered in darkness, that seemed to swallow him whole. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, his breathing was shallow and quick.
Suddenly he felt something tickling his face. These soft things touched his cheeks and his neck gently. He tried to move again, but the weight on his belly wouldn't budge. The tickling sensation was still there.
"My belly..." he was whining but his face was smiling.
The darkness turned to twilight. Indistinct figures were step by step toward him. A warm breeze carried their whispers to his ears.
"I need to see you."
"You should turn on a light."
"So that I can chart your fate."
One whisper was overpowering the others and disturbing him.
"Psst!"
